Diavolo1988 said:I have seen what you have put up so far of the wall capn, and I think that a more natural looking wall would be better. My plan was making first a thin wall (2-3 blocks wide) of half steps, and then add on other materials to give it different styles different places. I have seen that you have removed some of the wall that I spent some hours making today, it would have been nice if you had said some days (a week) ago that you didnt want a circular wall. That way I could have worked on something else than something that would jus tbe removed anyway.
Diavolo1988 said:yea, I probably should have noticed. The clifftop thing will be pretty cool when its done, but I think the sandstone might be a bit invisible (atleast on my texture pack) since its pretty similar to dirt/sand. I think mixing sandstone with some other material would look pretty good. Making a more "square" wall at the south side like you have started now would be pretty nice, atleast if we put some towers at the corners. we can ofcourse also use curving walls some places where that fits and have straight ones where that fits.
On materials for the straight wall I suggest having the lower part of the wall in either bricks or cobble, and then have logs or sandstone on the upper 2/3rds.
Yeah there's plenty of space to build a mansion like that! The plot atm is something like 12x25, but it can be extended towards the mountains easily. On the other hand, the Arena could fit there too. Leave the 12x25 area empty for now, or build a garden or something there, and start the Arena past that plot. We could level the mountain or use them to make it a little different than most arenas.Diavolo1988 said:Well, there has been talk earlier about an arena. First we tried buiding it up in the air with the other stuff, but came to the conclusion we wanted it on the ground. Perhaps this is where we should put the arena? If not I suggest some sort of mansion building with fountains and gardens and the mansion itself in Baroque style. We could all cooperate on it and have it as the mayors estate. Would be cool.
About the arena, I guess it fite better to have it somewhere "more ugly". Not close to a lake, but just on some big dry piece of land.
