My town never split into newer towns, we just loaned some of our friends the coins to buy hamlet, but they paid us back in time.

Does that make me a bad person?

EDIT: On topic:

I can see where this would be a good idea, because there are fewer people to recruit when they are overwhelmed with choices, however it doesn't interest me to join. It could be too easily abused. Like you could target an old town you just don't like (Like Newerth or Erebos) and claim they should have never existed based on your ideals instead of targeting newer Hamlets that have citizen list no long-time players even recognize. That would just cause needless drama :p

Have fun anyway, I guess lol

I like you HolyRane.

By trying to achieve the A.P.I.'s and your goal, you're contradicting yourself. If you followed the A.P.I.'s rules / guidelines strictly, you'd have to destroy your S.H.I.T. - Clan and A.P.I, because these two new movements draw the attention of potential recruits away from old and well-established clan.

Thus by following the A.P.I. - idea, the A.P.I. can't exist as new movement / clan. Whereas this is hypothetical, the fact that by taking part in the A.P.I. - Project you ignore the first rule of A.P.I. in the first place, is real.

The people in API stay in their towns, so how does it do that?

As stated in the original post, it's not only about hamlets, but also about guilds. By the A.P.I. - Rule "Destroy new guilds to make the current ones bigger" Holy's guild must be destroyed.

I'm sure everyone of you considers their town as big an powerful, yet do you think only the pvp - strenght is deciding wheter a town is powerful or not? How can you be sure that your leader isn't an immature kid who just had luck so far? How can you be sure that the mayor of a small town will not once annex your town, because he knew that not only attacking and camping is important?

You can't. And in my eyes you're just sad that so many hamlets can recruit people whereas you can't convince them that a large town has more advantages...

Don't you realize that Herocraft is not about crushing small hamlets / guilds as soon as they start developing, but about making friends, having fun and socialising? A town, in my opinion, is a community of friends who work for the same goal. What if you manage to conquere all towns? You'd have 2 - 3 factions... and if I recall correctly, when Kainzo wanted to implement Factions you protested sharply.

Once you achieved to make 3 factions, what will happen? You'll split up to a few towns... And it starts over...

Over time the incapable leaders will ruin their towns and the capable leaders will lead thei town to glory; this doesn't have anything to do with what stage the township is in currently.
Everything takes time and since you've already made it past the Town-upgrade, you lost the understanding and became ignorant.

You have no insight in another hamlet and thus you are not to decide wheter a hamlet is "worth" to exist.
Go ahead, attack us. We're only a small hamlet, but have a better security than most of the biggest towns. You're mistaken, if you think that doing something with deliberation is worse than rushing all decisions to be in the position of "deciding who may make a hamlet".

As example: When a large raiding group attacked Erebos, they could easily get in, while Greek thought his town was impenetrable...
They forgot to remove a lift and thus they could be ambushed.

TL;DR: Time is relative and the size of a town doesn't show how productive and how "strong" a community is. This is minecraft, not a super strategic game in which you'll lose if you can't take over other towns. Play it for fun, not to ruin the experience for other players.

First of all, it's fun as hell. Second of all it's REALLY fun. Third, it's REALLY REALLY FUN. Lastly my guild is the literal adaptation of the A.P.I. The API was more of the framework.

I understand that it might be fun for you, but do you think you improve the overall atmosphere and happiness of the community?

If yes, I hope your town will be crushed by a stronger force and put you in the same position as the small hamlets that you want to eradicate.

If not and you want to do it nonetheless, I hope you can look beyond your own nose and get what I'm trying to say. :)
