List of Current Impossibilities with Skills/Plugins

Please don't request entire Classes

Just so I don't have to keep repeating myself, and to give people a better understanding of the current limitations in Bukkit/MC. I'll update this thread as things become possible or if I missed something (which I probably did).

  • Applying armor reductions
  • Throwing items (non-projectiles can't be thrown)
  • Alternative Movement types (Sliding, Wall climbing, etc)
  • Altering damage based on current movement type (while jumping)
  • Detecting when a player is triggering an MC critical hit
  • Awarding XP for Alchemy/Furnace creation
  • Detecting when a player lands without taking fall-damage.
  • Region-specific Buffs/Debuffs
  • Custom Items/Blocks
  • Dual-casting or using more than 1 skill at a time that has a warmup.
  • Changing built-in animations or creating new ones. (We can use some of what MC already has though)
  • Enable/Disable client-side sound
  • Use Any mod designed for SSP/SMP Vanilla or Modloader.

Feel free to ask about things that aren't listed if you're curious.

Things We Can Do:
  • Altering damage based on Sprinting/Sneaking

Taming unfriendly mobs in the future?

I am not sure if necromancers already have a skill like that.

uhh they don't tame the Skeletons, it just lets them spawn a skeleton that wont attack them, and auto-attacks anybody else. It's not really designed for party use either, just PvP.

But yes. Only pets with the tameable interface (currently only wolves, and SnowGolems) are actually tameable.

what about canceling out sounds like making doors/chests not make noise when opened or players not make noise when moving?

Definatly necros need more then the ability to summon one half retarded skeleton minion. Zombies!

Can you create class combo's? Like, If a caster uses fireball on someone, and they are on fire, could you make it so they take extra damage from a skill like bleed for example while they are on fire?

I've always wanted to see cross-class combo attacks... like firestorm for caster x caster, arcblade/bolt blade for warrior/rogue x wizard, cross-cut for warrior x warrior/rogue... things like that.
