Town Information:
Oslo will run similar to most towns, but we believe in general welfare, so there will be two cumulative banks: one for gold, which will be collected, sold, and put in the town treasury, and coin, which will be collected and redistributed. all decisions in the town will be voted upon, including declarations of war.
Later on, the town will run in a parliamentary style government. every month, there will be 6 elected, bringing similar/different ideas on how the town should run. if there are , say 10 people that want to be in the parliament, they will bring there ideas forward, and the town will vote. if there is an extremely large amount of citizens that want to be elected, say 20, the nominees will be split into two groups, and each group will vote for each other, until narrowed down to six.

Rules:
1: all server rules must be followed at all times
2: we plan to be very neutral, do not attack unless attacked and do not let anyone unknown into the town.
3: do not attack any town members
4: do not mine directly under your house, go out of the regions or use the town mine
Application:
IGN:
Age/Timezone:
What class/profession do you plan on being next map?
why do you wish to join Oslo?
have you been in any towns on the last map?
do you have teamspeak?can you listen/talk?
Also, this is just an idea, but i am willing to let any guild use Oslo as there base town, if the guild leader fills out this app:
Name of the guild:
Who is the leader of the guild?:
Members:
what is the alignment of the guild?:
If a guild does apply here and the town goes on to hamlet, all i ask is they pay 80% of what a usual guild region would cost, so it would be cheaper to base a guild here.

Interesting name choice for a socialist town since Pyongyang is in North Korea...

yes, that was the whole point of the name.
Err... North Korea is communist, not socialist... If you want an example of socialism look at Sweden or something. This has the wrong vibe of socialism and is more communist than socialist.

According to North Korea, they are a single party democratic state. But let's be serious, they are communist.

that and it says in the chat
MSG from @EtKEnn: "so i hear your interested donny" or some wired typo like that

2nd edit: it appears, to me, that the countries in Europe like the Netherlands officially have a parliament, but in the parliament there are Socialist representatives in the parliment. this has confused me way too much, can you explain this better @leftovers5

No North Korea is not a Communist state, it's more of a State Capitalism.
The world has not yet seen a true Communist state, and probably never will.
It's an impossible dream to achieve.

congratulations, you have made me hit my head against a wall in confusion. the wiki says N.K. is soicalist, and you guys are saying it is either communist or capitalist.

Communism is an economic and social system in which all (or nearly all) property and resources are collectively owned by a classless society and not by individualcitizens. NK has an Elite class, hence its not a communist state.
NK would by most defenitions be a dictatorship.

Yeah. Parliament is democratic in Europe, but countries like France and Sweden have socialist leaders (both being somewhat democratic socialist). The USA has a socialist senator from Vermont, Bernie Sanders, but does that mean we're socialist? No - for the most part we're still capitalist as well as democratic.

after looking at the Swedish government on Wikipedia, it seems that this is the type of government im shooting for- distributed wealth and voting.
