It puts users who can't run spout at a MASSIVE disadvantage during PvP. Especially against casters and disciples (greater the distance between you and the enemy by forcepushing them as you backpedal at the maximum speed anyone else can run! seems legit). Is it realistic? No. Does it put you and the opponent on an equal field of play? No.
Autosprint is OP because when chasing someone, any person, spout or mojang, sprint doesn't break when you hit an entity, like it does in vanilla. But when hitting a person with the mojang launcher, it can stop sprint, especially if your within range to use poisoning skills.
Another thing is that when chasing a caster on a straight path or field, they don't have to slow down to use fireball.... so if you're a class with low-range skills or someone who doesn't use speed potions too often, you could die of an un-spec'd caster that knows how to abuse this. You probably will still win, but does it really make sense for a caster of such low level to be able to do such a high amount of damage to a player that is such a high level, such as Dreadknight and Samurai? No.
All I'm saying is that if I installed a mod 3 months ago that allowed you to have a hotkey for sprinting - I would get banned. Why is it deemed fair? If spout users get it, can I download an autosprint mod for my client? Seems like a fair deal to me.
a little rantish, but I'm a bit mad because 3/4 times I've lost a 50+ killstreak in the past two weeks was directly a result of autosprint and me not having the ability to catch people who sprint backwards and spam fireball or different disciple combos.
I was told that it was going to be restricted in this spout update, but I was informed today it wasn't removed and people still have the ability to use it.
