When was the last time you assaulted your fast-food server and smashed a window? We do it all the time.
Speak for yourself. When was the last time you assaulted your fast-food server and smashed a window?
The video Neo posted was entitled "A real person, a lot like you." Your video could (should?) have been entitled "A real person, not like you AT ALL." (and if anyone on these forums is like that woman... please get help)
In short, you [should] know as well as I do that our inhibitions ARE lowered over the internet. Yes, we are inclined to be upset with customer service or silently judge/hate someone on the street for something they did, but we do much worse over the web. We harass, we name call, we abuse and murder repeatedly, we steal and lie and backstab and scam. Just remember that the person you're being a jerk to over the web is a real person. And if you'd do the same things to them in real life... stop being a jerk...
I have always endeavoured to be the same person in all contexts, but better. I am under no illusions that you are "less real" than a person on the street, or a friend. If you were sitting on a chair across from me, I'd probably say exactly what I say here, except for this exact sentence, which would make no sense in that setting and look rather silly. When was the last time you assaulted your fast-food server and smashed a window?

To anyone who's ever played "Shadows Over Camelot" with a table of friends: you can all be the closest pals and spend the best of times together, but something happens when you get dealt the Traitor card, and suddenly you become the most manipulative asshat you could ever dream of. But nobody takes offense, and it's all in good fun, because when they last sword is lain on the round table, it was just a game after all, and you were there not to win or lose, but to play together. And one more thing... I wouldn't think twice about stealing someones digital gold ingots if I met them irl.
THAT BITCH IS CRAZY! I used to work drive through at a local joint when I was younger, I would have straight up slapped that bitch back into her car and told her to tits or gtfo.To this I say... GIMMIE MY NUGGETS BITCH!!
