Yo @Iarbobray , you've wrote some good stuff about the Valor Kingdom before, so I nominate you to write a little something since you've been around the longest.

Soon after the great capital of Jericho fell, Alexandria was formed with the creation of the Rangpur-Tree Creeper alliance By Shortyy_oD of the TCs and Agent J Wall of Rangpur. Alexandria was created to act as a waypoint for all those hoping to join the ranks of the infamous TCs. Alexandria would hold all of those who wished to join the TCs until they proved themselves worthy. They would then be free to move into any one of the TCK’s other towns (Rangpur and Atlantis at the time). Unfortunately Alexandria’s purpose was lost with the fall of Rangpur, forcing Shortyy and J Wall to reevaluate the town’s purpose. After much consideration it was decided that Alexandria would still act as the link between the TCK and the rest of the world, but instead of being a recruitment camp it would server as the kingdom’s trading hub where both venders and consumers from the TCK and the outside world could set up shops or buy goods. With the town’s new purpose decided, town construction began. Headed up by J Wall and Glastonburypie, Alexandria slowly took shape. The entire city was meticulously planned out into four districts and space was allotted for future expansion. Everything was running smoothly until the introduction of Shattergate to the TCK. With the influx of new TCs, Shortyy, feeling nostalgia for the old TC order (which had almost all been banned), was losing touch with Alexandria and the TCK. Shortyy, due to increasingly frequent inactivity, gave control of the city to J Wall and Glaston was elected as the new SIC. With little turbulence in the power transfer, Alexandria continued town construction and recruitment up until today. New members eager to shape such market areas have come to Alexandria, to make their plots and their mark on such a town. There is a lot of promise for Alexandria, a town that will stand the test of time and adaptation. A self-sustained town in the desert region of the TCK.

Ok, Being the longest standing member of the Hope's End -> New Hope -> Orion chain, I can write for hours about it.

Do you want history full stop, or history of the town for this map?

Yup, haha. I'll get on it later in the week, I missed its founding after the SSS floundered though. I'll need some help with that.

I wrote some SkyForge history/lore. Sent it in a message to you@Alator. Not sure if it was supposed to go here or on the wiki or whatever. I just wrote mainly the history though. I could write more about lore and the current city and such, but I felt it got pretty far anyway.

Gimme everything you got!

Also people, if a town's history spans maps, you can write about it in Sanctum.

SkyForge is a magnificent flying city. With parapets, pillars, airships and architectural wonders, all held up by the power of ancient Dwemer machinery. To fully understand this city, one must also know it's story. Because SkyForge has not always been SkyForge. A long time ago, the Dwemer lived deep in the mountains in a city known as DarkForge. The city was run by the brilliant Capn_Danger with his companion OrangeAngel by his side. The glory of those mountain halls were known throughout the land.

However, a young dwemer boy by the name of Diavolo1988 also grew up in DarkForge. A boy who would prove to have a great inpact on the future of the town. As legend has it, he constantly talked about the sunlight, that he wanted to bring the city out and up and away! Although he had no real saying in matters of the city, he managed to persuade the old mayor, and when the civil war forced the city to move, they settled with only the sky as their roof.

It was in the land of Sanctum that SkyForge then was founded, and with the help of their fantastic skills in machinery and contraptions, they buildt the city floating. Because as Capn_Danger said "if we are not to have solid stone walls to protect us, let us atleast lift ourselves out of the dangers of the overworld". And the city flourished, with the metropolis of Fiore by it's side people came from far and wide to live in and trade with SkyForge, even railroads were built so the entire north could travel freely.

But the bliss didn't last forever, an EVIL kingdom: Monarchy of Blasphemy (MoB) settled not far from SkyForge and luckily the city was well defended as it was held floating in the air. Still some of the battles were quite bloody, and for no good reason: -"they just came and wanted to kill us for fun" it was said. It was at that time when the now young adult dwemer man Diavolo1988 developed his hatred for the EVIL. He said to himself: "when the old man is gone and I am mayor after him, none acts of EVIL will ever be tolerated in my city". A few years later the old man did pass away. A horrible fire in his apartment was the end of him.

With Diavolo1988 taking over the city, it kept on developing nicely. A guild from the government of Sanctum came and rid SkyForge of the plague that MoB had been for them, which made them prosper even more. The city was truly wondrous when one day they recieved word about a land so fantastic, a land of heroes. They all moved, to join in the wonders of this new land.

In the land of Hero, few of the citizens from SkyForge stayed together. They were all split across the very land, living as smiths, wizards and warriors. Some even started their own casino and made money trading. However, after a long time of enjoying the land of Hero two of the previous councilmen of SkyForge started longing back to the glorious days of SkyForge. They were OrangeAngel and Steamed. Not one little dwemer spider working bot had they made since they came to Hero, and they longed to do so. Too long had they lived on the flat earth, feeling safe they would never fall down and die. Therefore some land was sited. They found a nice little forest covered island next to the city of their old SkyForge neighbour Domitius; Altas. The construction began after a little while, but unfortunately OrangeAngel gave up before they were even finished with the scaffolding for the main city engine. "This just doesn't feel right without Diavolo" he said, "besides I don't wanna build, I just wanna run around and rape, kill and pillage."

So they found Diavolo1988. He had become quite the snob, living in his little renaissance garden, serenading Lady Xanipher from his mansion right outside her city. However, they persuaded him to come to SkyForge and become their mayor again. This time the construction went better, with also the help of trustworthy architect WoleverEntun the city soon started looking good with their very own cathedral set up. People new and old to the city came from far and wide to live in their city, so one could clearly say that the dwemer blood had been thinned out quite a lot since the days of DarkForge. Still the dwemer spirit to construct exiting contraptions, houses and vehicles hadn't been dampened at all.

The city developed very nicely, as you may see today. (And as it still does.) But now when you see a new tower or airship being built in this castle in the sky of a city, you know where it all stems from.

The History of the Hope Chain. Hope's End to Orion.

Pictures To Come Soon.

NB: This should not be taken as fact until someone else confirms the events. I am known to make stuff up to plug gaps in my own memory. ;)

Gather round children to hear the story of Orion and it's predecessors...

Our story begins back in February, MoB is still powerful, and thanks to lots of moneymaking citizens can make new towns. Blaker280 and ReedMe are assigned to make a satelite town inbetween ORE and TOP. This town was named Hope's End. Blaker and Reed were both a bit architectually challenged, so they brought in Spraymaster who went to build a giant wooden apartment block. Not the best looking of things but was an interesting landmark. Thamerwaste joined not long after this, having building skills, he was made to build most of the stuff in the town that was needed, but because he had nothing better to do, complied.

The town started growing at an alarming pace from then on. Many people joined, and before long they were official. This was great, no more worry of getting ganked while building. The town grew a lot, then got a city ring. MoB fell and Hope's End were a random town in the middle of a cluster of hostile towns. This didn't matter and they continued with work. Jorict and Draskuul joined at this point. Jorict being a fighter quickly set up the towns militia, Draskuul a builder helped Thamerwaste out with the large undertakings that Blaker threw upon them. Doogler joined after this and quickly found his place in the militia.

Hope's End obtained capital and work started on defences. Jorict created a town to the north and Spraymaster one to the south. Blakers asspirations for kingdom were taking shape. Aesi joined them from another town and was quickly useful in providing money and labour, ADaringEnchilada also came along, but didn't warrant the same importance. The town was taking shape, a muddled, messy shape, but a shape nonetheless. ReedMe went inactive due to real-life issues.

Then the announcement came. Blaker had decided we were going to move the town. At first it was a radical plan, but as we thought about it, it started to make sence. Move away from all the enemies, and start fresh. They scouted for areas suitable and finally decided upon a location, far south near the edge of the map. Lapis had not long been released so it was a nice bonus that there was some in the map extention we were going to build on.

This time the town was different. Instead of building one thing around another and making a muddled mess, it was meticulously planned, and Blaker thankfully had nothing to do with the building. The town took a long time to get up, making multiple trips back and forth to get materials from Hope's End. When the town was finished it was christened as New Hope, Blaker wasn't too good with names.

New Hope was an OCD suffers dream. Not a single block out of place (on public buildings). Draskuul was made Second in Command of this new iteration. Things were running smoothly for them. Building and occasionally PvPing. Then HolyRane came along from Neverast. His Bloodlines guild appealed to Blaker, and New Hope went from peaceful start up to evil guild residence. With Bloodlines hated by many, in extension New Hope became hated and a hotbed for PvP and general idiocy. iFizzE and xpeterc1 arrived around this point, and were helpful to the town, building and PvP'ing.

When HolyRane was banned, the Bloodlines in the town; GreyP ,babb1e and others either left or went inactive. This made our town peaceful again and mass building could resume. xpeterc1 built an automatic mushroom and wheat farm, also a locking system for the herogate. This is when Blaker got bored.

He decided to go off to another server at the end of March, and wanted some of the New Hope citizens to go with him. He did it horribly and maliciously, and got banned for it in the end. Draskuul assumed the Mayoral position, and iFizzE was the SiC.

Draskuul didn't like having all the power, and decided to start up a radical system for town leadership, the Council.
This meant no more dictatorship town, there were citizens making the decisions, for a fairer, more democratic township. This idea interested other towns, and was later adopted by many. The first council members were Thamerwaste, xpeterc1, Aesi and Doogler.

The township had no large milestones or events after this. They just sat on the edge of the map, building, defending and thieving (which had recently been made legal). One citizen stood out among the rest, he was a Youtuber, BebopVox. He had done a segment on Herocraft and enjoyed the server so much he stayed. If you look at his past videos, he uses New Hope as a backdrop for texture pack reviews.

ADaringEnchilada was adopted into the council for all of his work for the town not long after. Then came news of the map wipe. The server went very inactive, no-one wanted to do work if it was going to be lost so quickly. New Hope started to plan for the wipe.

The wipe came, and they set off on the new map to find a suitable location off in the South East. Secluded like our last town, we also called this one New Hope.

Work went well, and New Hope was one of the first towns ready. Unfortunately the server wasn't ready, and people started going inactive. There was very little protection, and eventually Draskuul got sick of it and left. Aesi followed suit and left a rift in the New Hope group.

The displaced bunch, lead by iFizzE and mung3r, got an offer from TrinityDown to join the Shinda Sekai Sensen or SSS. iFizzE accepted and New Hope moved to its current location and became Orion. The town was built quite quickly and thrived under the leadership of the SSS, fighting in wars and trading.

The SSS eventually fell, and Orion became its own town, separate from everyone else. The council now consisted of: Doogler, ADaringEnchilada, Thamerwaste, Rofii and Trizze.

Orion is a generally peaceful township now, with Aegis to the far East; With ADaringEnchilada as mayor, and Greydon (Soon to be township, with Thamerwaste as the mayor) to the east between them, it is well on its way to kingdomship.

Thus ends the story. I go into more detail in the beginning because of the fact there are almost no people from there left now, bar me,and the fact I could be more bothered when I began to go into details.

Disclaimer: Again, this may not all be true, this is just my memory (which has been shown to fail).

Diav messed up the lore a bit... It went a bit like this:

OrangeAngel posted a sign on the signboard saying "Capn_Danger We need a floating City" and then he approved it. Then when the map wipe came we built it. Thats the story of Skyforge.

He also forgot FuckingSoup, the builder of the middle Skyfrorge Support in Sanctum
