It's not just the planning it is the general management and running of the map rules etc is what I think Kainzo is looking for. Which I am offering to do.
What I have as a general plan for this map is to create a large world for people to RP in as well as have places for people to explore and visit but not necessarily build on (to stop random crap shacks and ruined beaches/desert/forests and other kinds of landscape). Something on this scale will obviously take a long time to build and there fore will be a long term project.
If you have experience in managing a map or a large area, go for it! I'm sure you would do good!
As for rules, I think the the map should be a no-build-zone for non-builders. Builders would be chosen by the map ruler and will help build new areas to explore, ect. Why should the map be a no build zone for other players? Well, have you SEEN the current map? It would be much better to have players work out puzzles instead of just breaking through mazes, ect, because I have seen that before and it is stupid!
I suggest we do the map like this:
- Let all the chunks load first and then check what we can work with.
- Plan out adventure areas for specific biomes, which would suit the area (for instance, pyramids in deserts would be better than pyramids in swamps, although that idea if still cool! )
- Find and mark down the locations we can build these areas, and create a boarder to where we want to build them at the location.
- Organise a full list of projects we would want to do, types of builds we want to do and the level of difficulty.
- Build it! Who builds what depends on what it is, for instance, it could be a redstone mechanism or maybe a castle/house.
- After finishing the build, we move onto the next one of release it to the players. If we wanted to add more builds to the map we would find an area of land, seal it off with a temp. wall, build, then remove the wall!
For things we can build, I can give you a huge list of ideas! All of them would be unique and would not have been done before!
