Could someone explain why they are doing this before the big biome update? I was told the biome update is happening in a few weeks. So HC is not going to have any new biomes for at least a year? Lool.

The map will start small, then it will expand vastly after 1.7 biomes are introduced.

Also - I heard biomes won't be ready in a matter of weeks... it's more like a few months.

The map starts at 2000x2000 and once the 1.7 update hits it's expanded to 10000~x10000~

What..? 10k x 10k ....? That cant be right. There will never be pvp. Too much space for the amount of people playing the game.

I figured it would be more like your endurance level dictates what type of armor and how many pieces you can wear. Like:

Endurance Lvl Ability Unlocked
1 -
2 - Leather Boots
3 - Leather Helm
4 - Leather Legs
5 - Leather Chest
10 - Gold Boots
...
...
45 - Diamond Boots
...
50 - Diamond Chest

It doesn't really make sense that a caster should be able to just wear one iron chest plate instead of full leather... Lore-wise, this is bad. Looks-wise, this is bad. Economy-wise, this is bad.

NOTE: I am writing this post with no knowledge of "armor points" cost of each piece of armor... could it be that full leather is still more efficient than one iron chest plate?

Yes it currently works where each piece of armor has a specific weight requirement (like diamond chest is 40 for just the chest) and you can use any combination of individual pieces up to your weight limit. After thinking about this more, in the long run it will probably be fine like this (from balance, not lore perspective) because once custom drops / enchanting are in, you would want to wear full leather with stat bonuses on each piece rather than one diamond piece with lesser enchant / stat bonuses.

It basically works out to where you need 10 weight limit for each ""armor icon" above health bar, and is currently impossibly to wear full diamond on any class on test (paly falls just short, can get up to like 97/100 on weight capacity with all attribute points in endurance.

I'd like to know are we going to have a trade district early on in the map? That is when it really shines in my opinion since everyone is leveling professions etc. I hope we can see a trade district very early in this map

Having a trade district will stop the hundreds of shops put out 1 block outside of spawn. It ends up looking like crap. Also could the architects make the trade district more easier to get around? I liked Dragons TD much more than bastions. It was much easier to look at all the shops.
