My brother got banned from a server and created this account to try to get around it about a year and a half or 2 years ago and thats all he ever used the account for so he gave it to me since i wanted to play minecraft

This is a moot point. According to you, he caused you to be banned on another server, so we need to know it will not happen again. If it does it is YOUR account that will suffer.
