You aren't equating that players can get 15c per day by voting on our 3 sites...

So 15 members getting 15c every day, is 15 x 15 = 225c. They can vote every day, so every 7 days = tax.
So if they vote every day for 7 days, they can get 225c x 7... (1500c ish)
Sounds like its way over 500c per week. Is my math completely wrong?

Come again?
GG Well played!

I don't think so. It's free coinage - if they want the protection / pride of being in a town, they'll have to pay dues.

Is the Limitation of 15players going to change? Coin isnt a problem. 15c x 7days = 105c or someshit which pays for most. in about an hour of mining atm i can make 1kcoin ez.

@Kainzo

Limitation does seem to be retarded. considering if u go look @ towns that are applying. some have 40+ members :( what are tho's other 30ish people suppose to do? wait till the town can aquire more slots?

Considering there is mayb 10 hamlets soon to be up and running. most are already full ( gonig by 15members) and have a overstock of people wanting to get into that town.

And some hamlets it will be rare to get into , the TC. idk how they run there stuff but im guessing its rather hard to get into TC.

Same if legacy comes back.

Limitation needs a removal or just a higher cap. like really higher. since we are getting a HUGE amount of new players. Hard for the newer players to start a town since us the older players know what to do , how to run the town better and stuff.

Just my thoughts. dont hate me for this.

name: Hamlet
max-residents: 15
cost: 5000
tax: 500
material-costs:
- 42:0:100
- 57:0:30
- 86:0:50
radius: 4

So hamlets now cost 5000c for region and all? (Plus the Pumpkins, iron blocks and dia blocks)

The "max" residents is not working or will be working. So you can literally have 100+ members per town, I'm okay with this.[DOUBLEPOST=1347455405,1347455341][/DOUBLEPOST]

5000c to make the charter, 5000c to claim the protection area + Blocks.

We already have a charter that we made the second day of this map, so what's going to happen with that?

Oh phew, the max resident thing was my main problem with the design. Otherwise, the material thing is neat, though tedious.[DOUBLEPOST=1347475695,1347475663][/DOUBLEPOST]

You have a charter, but it's not "certified" - as in you need to pay 5000c to have an official charter.

I have a few questions. I chartered my town on day one of the new map at no cost and collected the necessary signatures. Do I need to remove the charter and recharter the town at a cost of 5000c in order to get the bank for the Items? Is there any way I can get this going with the existing charter? If I need to recharter do I need to issue the charter in the base chunk of what will be the town? Do the taxes take effect at the time of charter or regioning? If I charter a town and begin building what happens if someone tries to claim my space with their own town and they get the money first?

Nah, no need to re-charter. Once you get enough members on your charter, simply do /town create and it'll drain 5K from your account and make your town official. Next step would be paying 5K for a region. Overall cost: 10K + 100 ironblocks. (Do /tb deposit 42 100 to deposit the iron blocks)

The point is, less bad towns is GREAT. And forcing people to earn ~10c a day is not too much to ask.
I also really like the idea of PvE dungeons, quests, etc. granting town mats.

EDIT: Is there a written word version of the requirements?

I think 500c is fine. they are trying to make it an extreme challenge to keep a town running and functional. there were just to many towns last map.

A lot of towns actually were taken down and a lot more didn't pay their taxes for a long time. On DG it was on the Admins to enforce it, now the plugin does it for them. Had the plugin been working last map, half the regioned towns last map would have lost their regions, and this was on the old tax system.

I foresee a lot of towns struggling this map with this tax on just Hamlet.

The thing tht is bugging me for quite some time now... radius of 4 (I guess chunks) for hamlet.
Does this mean everything in this circle is regioned or only the outer chunks are regioned? Or do we simply get the 20 chunks(yet again the picture) to claim as we please as long as they are adjecent.
The picture that was uploaded confuses me. http://imgur.com/vI6gL
Thank you in advance!

Everything within that ring will be regioned.

Cost for Hamlet in Bastion currently:
5000c
100 Iron Block
1000 Log
50 Pumpkin
30 Diamond block

That's fairly reasonable for making it so not too many towns form, and those that do are really active. The diamond block is pretty difficult, but if you have enough people mining for a couple days, you'll get it.

Cost for Town in Bastion currently:
15000c
500 Iron Block
10000 Wooden Plank
5000 Log
100 Pumpkin
300 Emerald Block
200 Diamond Block
100 Clay Brick
10000 Stone

15000c isn't really that bad when you've got an active town. I don't think it's that much than town used to cost anyway. 500 iron block... iron is really common, not a big deal. 10000 wooden plank and stone: Tedious, but completely doable. 100 pumpkin is easy if you have a farm, and the clay brick isn't too hard either. However, 200 diamond block is more than six times the diamond cost for hamlet. That's the equivalent of 1800 diamonds... I suppose there are that many on the map, and if Warshard resets, they wouldn't be completely gone. However, getting that many diamonds is... well, I can't think of another way to phrase it... really hard. And then the emeralds... If you don't have a village to farm, you will likely never ever get that much. 2700 emeralds!

Cost for City:
20000c
500 Iron Block
10000 Wooden Plank
20000 Log
230 Diamond Block
100 Pumpkin
500 Emerald Block
75 Clay Brick

Cost for Capital:
30,000c
500 Iron Block
10000 Wooden Plank
20000 Log
530 Diamond Block
100 Pumpkin
500 Emerald Block
75 Clay Brick

Both of these are just astronomical in terms of emerald and diamond... Kain said City and Capital will still be changed pricewise possibly, but right now, this is just so high...

This isn't the best-written post I've ever made, but I've seen a lot of others upset with these costs too. This is primarily a place to discuss whether or not they should be changed, and in which direction. Really, the costs other than the diamonds and the emeralds are okay because there is so much of that stuff and it doesn't have a use other than building, really. However, the diamonds and emeralds are really rare, and the diamonds are extremely useful in tools. The stuff you could make with that many diamonds is unbelieveable, but it all gets destroyed for upgrading your town.

People wanted less towns this map, and up until these block costs, I thought the right steps were being taken. They implemented a town cap and raised the cost in money. However, the block costs are just unrealistic in places...

Anyway, I just suggest making them cost less diamonds/emeralds.
