So, we are making mad progress in HeroTowns.

Townships will require coins to create IN ADDITION to mass block requirements.
Your citizens will need to use /townbank depsoit - while holding blocks to "beef" up their town banks.

Below is the preview list of requirements and their tier.

What's going to happen to the towns that can't aquire such resources (mossy stonebrick is not exactly easy to come by)?

Just like in Zeal. They will stay whatever level of protection they can afford.

I'm not liking this. Considering mossy brick is hard to come by and only found in a collected spot, it is very unfair (it requires 1 township to mine it all, as opposed to diamond that is spread accross the map).

Warshard will keep them plentiful. At least the first level of town is possible to get.

I like this, but wouldn't it be better to have the ''Extremely Rare'' blocks at the end? In other words, have blocks like pumpkins, iron and diamond, ect, at the start for Hamlets and Towns, then for Cities and Capitals have blocks like Mossy Brick and items like Blaze Rods? It would allow everyday townships to upgrade to the second level, but would reserve the third and forth position for the towns that wish to fight for the position (mainly towns part of a kingdom, as you don't usually see stand-alone capitals! :p).

Why are hamlets limited to 15 members? Capping the growth/development of a community doesn't seem right to me.

The materials are absurd, as well. ._.

I agree with what Leftovers said, mostly. I don't really like the max player limit, as many developing towns (unregioned still) have 20, 30, 40+ members on their tenative citizen lists, and limiting them to 15 for hamlet would cause a lot of problems. Also, 30 diamond blocks seems a little harsh... I understand that one of the big purposes of the township changes is to make towns harder to get and maintain so that they are guaranteed to be good and active. However, 30 diamond blocks is 270 diamonds. Someone today said that "That's only 800c, not that bad", which is true, but in order to be able to buy all those diamonds, somebody else has to have them to sell. Because so many people are trying currently to get towns, not nearly enough people will work together to make 270 diamonds readily available on the market. I agreed that it should be difficult to get Hamlet, but I don't know that it should be 270 diamonds difficult. Heck, I've found more emeralds than I have diamonds this map, and I've hardly found any emeralds at all. It depends on your mining style and all that, but still... 30 diamond blocks is a bit much in my opinion.

I think 500c is fine. they are trying to make it an extreme challenge to keep a town running and functional. there were just to many towns last map.
500c is a lot no matter how you put it. There were a lot of towns last map, but they all had their ups and downs. Some made it, some didn't. This tax will crush at least 50% of the aspirations of the playerbase, especially the smaller, more isolated towns. Not to mention that maps have limited resources...

this is a hardcore server, don't QQ if you think it is hard to collect 60 gold ingots a week (split among everyone in the town). The high tax is meant so only the strong towns survive, also the lower amount of towns the more people in those few towns.

Off topic, but if the server was to be hardcore then there'd be no under level 10 immunity.

This is not a pvp server, also the level 10 thing is to help new players not rage quit because they were camped when they were under level 10. also last map there was an issue with title grinding. people would hunt down noobs just so they get the assassin and slayer titles.

You aren't equating that players can get 15c per day by voting on our 3 sites...

So 15 members getting 15c every day, is 15 x 15 = 225c. They can vote every day, so every 7 days = tax.
So if they vote every day for 7 days, they can get 225c x 7... (1500c ish)
Sounds like its way over 500c per week. Is my math completely wrong?

Come again?
