Taller walls may help, regardless that is not the solution. I know how you got in, like I stated. Did you not read why I wanted to know how you got in? I wanted two things: to make you admit to cheating, the public humiliation would have been enough for me. Don't assume that something my members say in chat is parallel to their beliefs. A majority of my town supports me. Green and Merry may say that I rage, but that doesn't mean they don't support me. Secondly, I saw Max's application to Ignotis previous to this, saying he was signing up to Ignotis. At the time, you hadn't denied him. Regardless, he's wanting to be in the town, if thats not obvious, which explains his kissing up to Ignotis members. It's too coincidental to ignore.

You failed to admit that you lost a majority of the fight in unfair combat, where we were at the disadvantage. Then one of you went far enough to say that we spammed lava, when that was an exaggeration.

Once I got past the atrocity that is that paragraph, I can tell you that I never flat out accused you. I implied that you exploited, by stating there were only 2 out of the 3 ways in the town you could have used, and that by neither denying nor confirming whether or not you used blink, it gave me the grounds to assume you could have used exploits. It's a loophole you fell into, and for some reason you still don't understand it.

Granted it is a game, it still holds a position of power over many people's emotions. When you play a game, say minecraft, and you've worked for hours only to lose all of your work. Despite it being fictional, it still holds a place in your mind that creates strong emotions in reaction to what occurs in the game. Despite it just being a game, it's still emotionally powerful, and you cannot deny that.

Also, to anyone that reads this, I encourage you look at it from several perspectives, and if you have something to say, even if you think it's offensive, then go for it. It's difficult to be stupid when you take the trouble of reading the equivalent of a short story on a webpage. Granted, it's possible, just difficult.

It holds as much power, emotional or otherwise, as it's users allow it to have. I'd wager that the vast majority don't consciously assess the importance they assign to the game (or plenty of other things, for that matter), and I'd wager that you in particular (though you're far from alone) give it too loose a rein. Regardless of a person's emotional investment, it does not justify substandard behavior, just as ignorance is no excuse for breaking laws.

I don't think I have anything else to add to this. Papabear and Kriskills have already agreed to stop prolonging this. Let them.

I think this sort of "discussion" is probably symptomatic of some legitimate issues with the operation of HeroCraft. Once more, respect for the staff, but if everything ran buttersmooth I doubt we'd see anything that troubled a person long enough to write an essay on the event, which then proceeded to attract this much attention and lols. I'm probably not covering everything that contributed to this, and it may just be the personalities clashing, but I've felt the effects of some problems in the same vein, and I get the feeling they aren't just freak accidents.

Ze Rules apparently are not being advertised well enough, and more than a few restrict the way you play the game even where it wouldn't be problematic on other servers, and there's no way to systematically to prevent or detect the transgression. And this can lead to incrementally-increasing frustration and confusion. Even... threads dedicated to it.

People should be rational and reasonable and tolerant of a little noise, but you can't do much to fix that, particularly on the internet. The best cure for it is for the average player to take it upon themselves to be the better man. To expect criticism, expect misunderstandings, expect complaints, but not to instigate or perpetuate them. To expect sarcasm and rage and trolls and excessive profanity and entitlement without precedent and arrogance, but not to add to it. And maybe somebody else will get with the program. That's all that can be done.

In the end, it IS a game. It's not worth the gravity people tend to give it. Shut up and have fun, why don't ye?

Rules are clearly stated in game, on the wiki and now in the forums, we have had a Terms of service up for at least a month now as well.
