Figured I'd show a recent picture instead of one nearly three years old...

This is as close as I get to smiling.

you know ur jealous.... :p

but seriously, shes beautiful! <3

Also @Alator nice crash. what sorta riding you do? and how bad did u bail to get banged up like that?

I normally do just cross-country stuff through the woods, but this time a friend and I went actual mountain biking down a mountain. What happened was my front tire slipped on a log the company had placed as an obstacle or something and got stuck, flipping me over the handlebars and face-first into another log. Luckily my hand hit first (the wrapped-up one) Or I would be minus several teeth right now, haha. Did make a nice pool of blood in the middle of the trail, though. :D

That is a 198?-1989 Porsche 930 S Flachbau (factory custom, don't remember when they started offering it, 86 maybe?). Hideous US/Euro conversion safety bumper makes it a 1988. It will probably have the big ugly whale-tail spoiler on it. I THINK less than 1000 were made, as they had to be special ordered. They had maybe 330hp, and they are atrocious killers that are hard to drive at the limit. I spun out in the non-Flachbau version a few times, They are REALLY ass heavy. If you take your foot off the gas in a turn, you spin out, with the butt of the car trying to become the front of it. (lift-off oversteer) They also dont like rain, due to their ass happy nature.

Rare doesn't make them valuable though. Excluding insane people who think they have a 50k classic rare Porsche, you can get them in excellent shape for less than 20,000 from a reputable dealer.

I much prefer my personal Porsche Slayer, when driving on the track.

wow your almost exactly right, its an 88, mine drives pretty good, gets about 356 HP. I have a lighter fuel injector, a lighter and better head on it, and a lighter exhaust and radiator(the stock radiator is pretty heavy and I dont know why) so its not as "ass" heavy as you say. I dont have much problems with it except like you said the rain, when its raining I drive a 91 honda accord haha.

Heres a nice side view.

The honda I alluded too.

P.S. I think it looks better from the side than from the front.

You must be confused, there is no radiator on the 930, it has an 'air cooled' engine. There is an Intercooler for the turbo if its a turbo model, which looks somewhat like a radiator, but has no water in it.

If you drive it at normal speeds, the car wont bite you. If you are on a track and race into a corner, tires break free, then you let off the gas, it WILL kill you.

Its a rookie mistake made by many the first time they drive the car on a track. It happens even on the modern cars. On the race track I run at, we even have a corner called Porsche corner. The design of the track unintentionally encourages you to hit the gas while in the corner. Turbo lag on the Porsche catches you off guard, the tires get loose, then you let your foot off the gas causing a spin out. I have personally seen 4 911s hit the wall there, and we have taken to stenciling Porsche 'kills' on the concrete barrier near the lead in.

Sounds like someone else also drives a crappy old van like me where the windows don't go up and the air/heat are broke and it has trouble with hills.....=P Enjoy the bad ass online car show.

Although as previously shown/stated my bike is bad ass. But I can't drive it on the road yet....(legally =P)

One of the best vehicles I ever owned was a 1997 Ford Econoline 150 Cargo Van with the 4.6L V8. Bastard lived a tough life, finally retiring with 210,000 miles and asked only for regular oil+filter changes, 2 sets of plugs and wires, 4 transmission flushes (every 50k mi,) a battery, a radiator and fluids, and one alternator for its long, faithful service to me.

Best vehicle I EVER owned was a 1996 F350 CrewCab Longbed 4x4. Its in the background of the picture of my SRT8. Its on the original engine block and transmission. They have both been rebuilt (the engine cant be rebuilt again, it was bored .030 over last time) and the transfer case gave out a while back. The transfer case was replaced with a rebuild. The truck has gone through several sets of wheel bearings, suspension bushings, king pins, u-joints, 2 sets of engine mounts, 6 water pumps, 4 alternators, 8 sets of batteries (it takes 2 to start the engine), 3 (going on 4) turbo chargers bearing cartridges, 2 turbocharger intake turbines, 1 exhaust turbine, 2 complete exhaust systems, an ungodly number of exhaust studs, a set of headers, several radiators, at least 1, maybe 2 intercoolers, a heater core, and 2 air conditioner compressors. It has gone though (as best as i can remember) 17 sets of tires, but it is probably more. It has also eaten 3 complete sets of engine pistons, and a few injectors.

With all these repairs, you must be asking why i think its the best vehicle i ever owned? It had driven 1.26 MILLION miles.

Based on my average fuel economy, it has consumes more than 70,000 gallons of diesel fuel. At current prices, that is 266,000 dollars ;)
