Fuck, now i have to clean up my desk...

*Cleans desk furiously*

Voila, my desk at home with a view of the yard out front.

Yes I own a mac and have a tower that is 8 years old, gonna probably mod it and build my next gaming computer with it. Btw, don't blame me because I own a mac, I didn't choose it, the government did (as par from JPL requiring upgrades to the employee's computers for maximum efficiency of work done, which my dad was able to get me this thing).

Either way, my set up:

27" iMac
Core i7 - 870 2.93GHz
ATI Radeon HD 5750
16GB (4x4GB 1333MHz)
256 SSD + 2TB (Internal) 2TB External backup
27" Display (2560x1440)

Altec Lansing VS4121 2.1 Speaker system
Turtle Beach Earforce P21 headset
Razer DeathAdder mouse

PowerMac G5 for unknown reasons.... graphics card is fucked

I had one of those! Damn man that was like.... way back. I still had my NES. When I got my second computer, that came with it for free. I was gaming like a boss. Nothing like ray man with one of those :D

They should have a computer science course mandatory for all gov officials. Fucking idiots need to stop buying $4000 mac's that perform worse then $700 laptops. Then we wonder why the country is in such debt >.>

And now to proceed with my usual hatred of Shit Inc...

Intel APPLE Core i7. Mac i7 870 = PC i5 750. Without the overclocking abilities of course.

ATI Radeon HD 5750
Again, ATi APPLE Radeon HD 5750. Actually an 5850 Mobile. And at 100W, It's an overpriced piece of crap. Then again, this is apple we're talking about heh...

gabizou said:

1333MHz, not bad for a server, but for gaming... wait nevermind it's a Mac. Wonder how much that cost the government hah.

gabizou said:

Not bad. gg.

Fun fact: apple sells 27'' monitors for $999. For $800, I got three 27'' monitors (Good ones too).

PC Core i3 with MINOR overclocking = same if not better performance.

SuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)

Fun fact: The "SuperDrive" is a regular optical drive (About 14 dollars for a reliable one), which is branded with a little Apple logo. This Apple "SuperDrive" costs $200. Innovation.

if i use anything for audio, i may use my studio beats, but i usually just blast it out of my speakers.
Fact: There are better headphones, which are cheaper than Beats. Beats are overrated and they just advertise the shit out of them to make you all fall for it. Just like Alienware PC's and Macs, which are overpriced shit.

It's the best. 14 programmable buttons (with an optional shift key, so it's actually 26), motion control, macros and turbos, works with any program that uses the keyboard (including flash games). Had to get an adapter so its super old pin plug could go into USB, but that's taken care of. If it had analog sticks - and maybe pressure-sensitive buttons - I would never need another gamepad, forever.

The cooling tray is the real hero, though. Fucker keeps shit cold.

Amgroma, was that necessary? The computer was bought 6 months ago. Its not like we recently bought it during the refresh of the Intel cores. And turbo boost is always usefull. The graphics card is still leaving something wanting of course. OTherwise I completely agree that Apple's hardware is not the greatest nor is it leaving you accomplished. But spending so much time on the post seems like you really had nothing better to do.

It makes you look elitist. He doesn't shove his computer preferences in your face, don't do it to him. I've used macs since the early 90's and while they used to be completely terrible, damn have they stepped up. Nothing is perfect and every choice has its pros and cons. PC fanboys can be even worse than Mac fanboys. Case in point.

EDIT: yes those are tiny robots that I made hah.

It's not the Mac, its the company. Everything Apple sells, is overpriced. The company is manipulative. They take advantage of tech-illiterate people, and have manipulative advertisement schemes that fucking work. Most of my damn friends spend $500 on a new iphone every 6 months because they are so "Innovative". Then when we go out somewhere, I always have to fucking sit there and hear them complain about how slow the phone is, etc. That or brag, depends how long he's had it. Same with Mac computers. The OS, is alright for those who not smart enough to use a regular OS. But the computers, are overpriced, overrated, over advertised, shit.

There's a difference between a fanboy who hates it because he's never used it or cant afford it, and a person who has pure unadulterated hatred for the despicable sales morals of a company.

Tbh my mac runs great for minecraft. I dont have a single complaint except for the lag i get. Could be my connection, but its pretty much everywhere in my house. I get The WORST pulse lag you could have, and i cause me to time out every 5 minutes. This usually happens after an hour of playing Minecraft completely FINE. i dont know why this happens, and usually after refreshing my connection or rebooting, minecraft is fine.

I have no problem with the macbook tracpad (yeah the one with NO visible left or right mouse) because im used to it. I also have an iphone, and jailbroken, its way better lol

It's their fault for not doing their research, it's their life and if they want omgnewshiny then let them. I fucking hate hearing about it, its never ending mac vs pc bullshit, I've heard it so damned much that I want to kick you in the dick for even bringing it up.
