HAHAHHA No nation shall ever beat Canada at hockey, in the long run.

We haven't had a decent hurricane down here since what, '05, '06? Last I remember was the cat4 off the west coast, and we were shut down for at least a week because of that. I think they're underestimating it's potential because we haven't had a hurricane in so long.@Roadkill909 I know exactly what you mean. "Charley is expected to cut through the gulf towards the north, possibly hitting the pan-handle of Florida..." *cuts through Florida like a boss*
Well that's predictable, that's all their ancestors did! Damn Vikings..
They're probably used to the weather because of how often it happens and desensitized to the destruction and severity of it. It's like schools in California resuming as if nothing happened when they have a strong Earthquake or schools up-north continuing school even when there's a chance of a light blizzard.
Even Saint John, the most weather safe place I can think of (And I live here ), has been hit by hurricanes. We usually don't have them often, but when we do they tend to come in numbers.. And hurricanes can hit just about anywhere. They've had hurricanes in Cali, New England, and just about everywhere else connected to water. And if it's not Hurricanes, it's some other form of extreme weather like tornadoes, tsunamis, earthquakes, and white-outs.
Wait... you mean St.Johns Newfoundland?Even Saint John, the most weather safe place I can think of (And I live here ), has been hit by hurricanes.
@MixxiM When we get heavy blizzards followed by icy rain, they wait until after it clears up to cancel school here. We had a bus go off the road one day and me and my ex almost went to the grave with each other. Shits fucked all over "Education is all that is important!"
Speaking of which, I've hardly come out of school with anything I haven't taught myself :/ (Besides Math, which I suck at.) I was even taught English from a published writer online who loved to RP lol GeeGee Schooling is bad.
Noup I mean Saint John, New Brunswick. Our coast gives us bad winds and usually a decent amount of snow with off cases of crazy blizzards. We are blocked by Nova Scotia on one side and NFLD/ PEI on the other. However, if a storm gets caught in the Bay of Fundy its usually worse. Most times though, we have just fog.... lots and lots of fog. Like I mean Greyouts and hardcore blurred lights/madness visibility FOG. Although its abundant, fog has never killed anyone.Wait... you mean St.Johns Newfoundland?
I heard Isaac has made landfall in Florida.
Well apparently I wasn't the only one thinking this way.Southern Florida/Miami got hit with it (5-7mph away from a cat 1 hurricane so no biggy). They're saying it's gonna strengthen in the gulf and go straight up the Mississippi. I'm hoping it doesn't pull a Charley because it did the same shit as this one is doing. Even if it does though, it'll be a cat 2 max if it were to hit us. That's not too bad, lol.

And as you can see with this map, most storms that enter the center of the Gulf tend to pull a "Boomerang" and fling off to the East
