New Class system for Factions:

Ninja -> Runeblade, Bard
Ranger -> Future Ranged Classes
Samurai -> Paladin, Dreadknight, Berserker, Dragoon
Wizard -> Necromancer, Beguiler, Pyromancer
Cleric -> Druid, Disciple, Shaman, Bloodmage

We also need to discuss Classes losing a certain amount of skills:
(Not including tumble or Tier two ultimates)

10 for Casters/Support, 8 for Warriors/Rogues
Casters:
Wizard: Current skills: 14: Suggested Removal: Arcaneblast, Blizzard, Firestorm, Port
Beguiler: Current skills: 10: Suggested Removal: Splendor: Add Chronophage
Pyromancer: Current skills: 13: Suggested Removal: Cauterize, Flameshield, Doomwave
Necromancer: Current skills: 13: Suggested Removal: Hellgate, Famine, BecomeDeath

Warrior:

Necro: Remove FeignDeath instead of Becomedeath
I've never once had Feign be helpful, while becomedeath can be helpful for kiting in water.

My only real complaint.

Feign is actually really helpful in pvp, if you time it towards the end of a fight, you can get the focus off of you, will especially help in a chaotic environment like factions. We can just have water breathing potions for become death.

Last time I avidly PvP'd, AoE's ruled the scene.
Has this changed? Or will the removal of most skills stop this?
A simple AoE can make Feign Death a waste of time, as you'll just pop back out right away.

A simple AoE can make Feign Death a waste of time, as you'll just pop back out right away.
Semi-yes. It comes down to better usage/location of feigndeath, even if it buys you 2 seconds it could end up saving your life.

I realize this, but with the release date on factions we will not have new classes done by then, but right now we are already working on new skills and in the process of getting skills that can be used for new classes.

I vote losing famine over battery, battery it really nice to keep your healers mana up so you can endlessly dakritual

I never used famine, IMO giving the small bit of sustain for your healer is much more important. I'm not sure how I feel about become death though, I love that skill.

Might love it for water breathing but is it essential, have a potion of water breathing and if it is that essential what would you change? It is not like we play necro so give us your opinion.

  2. there's 18+ different playstyles already.
Now, you may see some major name changes to the classes to make it feel different, but the over arching theme isnt changing that drastically.

I went ahead and added the "base" classes and removed all the skills that we agreed on. Next meeting we can adjust the skill order and some numbers so we're good for release.

Instead of the removal of escapeartist remove energize and lower stamina costs on skills.
