I was just saying, If we didnt want it turning into "PokeCraft" we probably dont want "WoWCraft"

(I know "WoWCraft" says "World of Warcraft Craft", its all i could think off.)

Think less WoW, more Everquest/Vanguard/etc.

The thing is this Raid plugin will force alliances to be formed and tributes to be payed. I think that will make the pvp system 3 dimensional and all these "small towns" that are worried they would be hurt should suck it up and get some alliances or pay people off. If you cannot even provide protection for your townies why would you even make a town. I heard towns were meant for providing protection. While many of you are actually using this as your argument against the raid plugin I think it should be a reason why we should implement raid plugin. Hold towns accountable to for doing their job. People just slap on some regions just go "REGIONS=PROTECTION". It Should not work like that whatsoever.

Small towns can easily figure out a way to provide protection for themselves. They can recruit people and level up and get strong, they can pay off their enemies, they can ally people to protect them, or they can not just not make a town if they cannot defend it.

OK my thoughts on automated procters/whitelist.

It sounds like a good idea on paper but you can't be thinking just if they had previous bans or got the special code right. The problem is that proctors do things that code can't (I am only starting programming so I don't know its full extent), for example, can code detect a total douche or scumbag? Can it check the age of a person efficiently? Can it tell if they are immature or mature? Those are also parts of whitelisting someone.

In my opinion a lot more douches/asses could get onto the server if whitelisting was automated. So I propose that if you do decide to do this don't fully automate it, have if half and half.

while I hear your concerns - the direction of Herocraft is to mirror / mimic successful MMORPG's - none of which require an application.

I believe requiring new whitelist to instead of fill out an application but pay $5-10, would be a solution.
