How did you hear about Herocraft?: Spoutcraft client - #2 of featured servers list (after EcoCityCraft)

Have you voted for Herocraft (No? Click here)?: Yes (=

Do you agree to the Herocraft EULA & ToS? Yes

Reason you should be accepted: I've read your guide to a good application (all of it) and am typing this with "An excellent application" open to my left as I type this. I've read and agree to the rules and I've browsed the wiki. I've been playing minecraft for just over a year, now. I've run my own private server for friends several times.

I enjoy a challenge. I tend to fit myself in wherever I see a need. I can enjoy building, planning, fighting, supplying materials, most anything if it will help someone or wor towards a goal. I've been lacking a goal in much of my minecraft play, recently and so I've been looking for server that is interesting. I hope to find a town that could use an extra man. I'm not sure yet whether I will play HeroCraft long-term but it looks promising. I'm looking for a server that about 4 other friends would also enjoy joining (Mr_Pleh, dukegyracci, I don't know the others' player names by heart).

I have interest in programming. Mr_Pleh is jazzed about making an Airbender mod. I'd be interested in possibly supporting the Spout community with plugins/addons. (I'm using Spoutcraft to play HeroCraft, but I turned off the features that would be questionable (~cheats).

After the application process, where you'll be most likely to hear from me, again, is in suggestions. I like to suggest improvements / point out needed corrections in most groups that I interact with. I will forever be a student of the art of constructive criticism.

Additional Info: I've been a college student for the last 4.5 years in Mechanical Engineering. I hope to learn to be a good manager some day. I hope to encourage production of American products. I have a political bent (I like representing and standing up for other people). Few things can get me as mad as someone grossly mistreating another person. I have a Strong interest in conflict management. I I need to learn to "take it easy" sometime (I get up-tight too easily, but at least I know it, and I'm not as bad as I could be...or as I used to me ^.^ ). I like to quote movies and stand-up comedy

I like Halo (mainly co-op). I think Realm of the Mad God is a very creative re-look at RPG games and has a cool paradigm-shift - there's great incentive to killing your character =P (like I said, creative).

My mode of transportation, right now, is a bike and though I would like a car I LOVE THE GAS MILEAGE (=

(I will rarely, if ever, use ALL CAPS in game)

Oh, yeah. One more thing: like my father, when I get to writing on something I tend to be thorough. But, I do have the ability to summarize if the occasion calls for it.

Thanks for the great guide. It helped stimulate a lot more than mere questions could have.

I really wanted to find something to question you on....but sadly I cannot! After reading this fantastic application, and showing it off to all the guys in the IRC, I can safely say...

Welcome to Herocraft @TienDow

http://herocraftonline.com/main/threads/jwplayer0s-list-of-legal-mods.14766/#post-135843

That is a list of our current approved mods.

Thanks for the huge complement (= ...I'm giddy that I hit the nail on the head.

Let me know if I can help with anything. ...oh, two questions:

1. Q: If I find errors or have suggestions for the wiki, where do I submit them?

2. The link you shared said that I did not have permission to view the page:
http://herocraftonline.com/main/threads/jwplayer0s-list-of-legal-mods.14766/#post-135843

But I found the following link to such a list:

Q: There is a link to SpoutCraft on the Wiki's navigation area. Does that mean that Vanilla SpoutCraft is okay to use? It's not mentioned on the website that the rules linked to. Also, it does have features that I would say give an advantage (the ones that I mentioned I would turn off) such as toggle-run (not having to double press forward makes navigation much more fluid and you can give extra knock-back like you were running even while standing still). I've got a suggestion for dealing with this, but I wanted to clarify HeroCraft's position on it first, and then I can add a discussion to the suggestions area of the forum either way. :)

1) Good question on the Wiki. You could always send a pm to @Upb34t. I usually bug him for Wiki issues.
3) As for the Spout question, I just asked this in the IRC and was given an answer:
  • [14:05] <Guide|Troppics> All Spout gizmos are allowed :p
So yes, the toggle run is allowed.

Alrighty, Thanks for the reply. Question: how do you PM? Is that -> Inbox -> Start a new conversation?
