ALERT 12/16/2017 - Herocraft Change Log

We've compiled a list of changes that happened this past week. Keep up to date when tiny changes happen by joining hc.to/discord! We post each change we make as we make them in our #announcements channel.

Heroes:

-Shadowknight now gets SoulLeech at level 5, BecomeDeath at level 10 and Atrophy at level 15.
-Ninja's skills have been re-ordered to help with earlier leveling and combat.
-Ninja's learned skill Shuriken was causing issues after someone learned it (server crash) we've temp removed the skill from the server to temp fix the issue.
-Professions now level 3x faster than Combat classes.


Dungeons:
-Portal to the Dungeon Nexus in Atlas spawn has been removed. Dungeons are in the real world, go explore!
-Dungeons in the Atlas map are functional. Report any bugs you experience with them by using /pe open <message>.
-Increased the toss cooldown (20s -> 90s).
-Adjusted spawn timers for bosses (15m -> 20m).
-Bosses now reset health when dragged too far away from their spawn area.
-Quest NPCs have been placed around spawn to give you additional loot and experience points.
-Mobs now gain power by levels. These levels are set in a range at their spawn time. Bosses benefit from this power more than regular mobs. Beware!
-Added portal to the second level of Dark Palace.


Kingdoms:
-Damage done by turrets increased by 9x to account for Heroes health values.

Other:
-Fixed the crafting recipes for the Apex of Time, they can now be crafted by the professions.
-The casino is up in the New Atlas area. You can find it west of spawn.
-Resolved permission issues with Backpacks. Any issues should be reported with /pe open <message>.
-T10 now gets "backpack.fullpickup" --- which enables them to full pickup gear when their inventory is full and go to /bp.
-T5 now gets "backpack.clean" --- which allows them to clear out their backpack inventory.
-T10 will get a 9x9 backpack. T9 will get a 9x8 backpack. T8 will get a 9x7 backpack.
-Removed relic drops of classes that are no longer implemented.
-Fixed crafting recipe for Ranger's codex.
-Fixed switching to Ranger handing out Beastmaster weapons instead of Ranger weapons.
-Skill tomes now drop off all Redhand and Faceless bosses (Redhand Highkeep / Dark Palace).
-Added Crates near the Gold Exchange area to not clutter player spawn in.
-hc.to/map is now functional!
-Stamina hotfix: Left clicks outside of combat no longer drain stamina. (This is especially noticed in mining)
-Auction House: The /ah command is now no longer usable to list available items. To view items, speak to Auctioneers Bill, Chad or Frank at the Atlas Auction House. You can find the Auction House by following Atlas Avenue to the north and making a right onto Merchant Street.
-The trade district (north half of the Atlas spawn region) is now detailed with street signs. Most NPCs will give street-based directions rather than flat coordinates.

Sorry for the slight delay, as I've been busy with Big XII Championship preparation. Let the update log commence!

Heroes:

-Spellbooks of Group Teleport have been segregated into "Spellbook of Wizard Group Teleport" and "Spellbook of Druid Group Teleport" to resolve an issue.

Dungeons:
-Warmup timers have been added to all boss spawners. Instead of spawning 0m-20m, they respawn 10m-30m.
-Progression system removed.


Kingdoms/Townships:
-Kingdoms has been removed.
-Townships have been readded. Township materials generate cross-map at a low chance. Towns of a tier n are allowed to claim (n*2+1)^2 chunks. Starting a township costs 250c. Claiming a chunk costs 25c.


Planar Archives:
-The Planar Archivist has relocated his studies into the castle above the arena. These are now known as the Planar Archives.
-A portal links the floor under the herogates to the Planar Archives.
-A portal links the floor under the herogates to the Auction House.
-The portal to tutorial has been relocated to the bottom of New Atlas Castle.
-A portal takes you to the herogates from the bottom of New Atlas Castle.


Staff:

-Proctor position removed, all existing Proctors have been given Guide.

Other:
-Pets and Soul Vessels have been removed from all crate rewards as we wait for a new plugin to handle pets.
-Ingame donor/township channels have been cleaned. 45 pages of channels down to 5, wow!
-The Nether has been released! Map size 5000 x 5000.
-We've migrated hosts to a new, cheaper and more efficient server host. Performance has increased across the board.
-Crazy Auctions plugin removed. Global Market plugin readded.
-Spawn tells you where PvP-immunity ends and begins, to ensure players know when they're not safe.
-Warp location relocated to the throne room of New Atlas Castle.
-Graveyard is now in a proper graveyard, around Ebony Circle in New Atlas Castle.

Pending updates have postponed this change log by a week, but we might as well alert you guys of what changes have been made these past three weeks.

Heroes:

-/class and /prof have cosmetic upgrades.
-DeepFreeze behaves like Entangle now, and breaks on all damage.
-Broken class relics can be replaced with working ones in /shop -> Item Exchange.
-Beguiler's skills earned on each level have been changed to be more organic.
-Farmer's summoning skills have been fixed.

Dungeons:

-Skill tomes for nonexistant skills removed from drop tables.
-Mobs have better health bars.

Townships:

-Townships have a low chance to generate every Township resource.
-TNT disabled until War is implemented.
-Costs drastically changed. Town titles/mayor titles changed for flavor.

Test:
-/test takes you to our test server. (obviously) This is where we can max a class instantly to test it, separate from live server.
-Three PvP maps exist in test now. Summoner's Rift from League of Legends, Dust II from Counter Strike: Global Offensive, and Thunder Bluff from World of Warcraft.
-Buttons exist to heal, give mana, clear inventory, give a stack of steak, a stack of arrows, and give armor within test.

Other:

-EisenRadar plugin introduced. To list waypoints, do /radar list. To toggle it off and on, do /radar toggle.
-The Nether is accessible by level 45 Necromancers who have learned the skill Hellgate.
-Donor/Township channels have been cleaned out, for bookkeeping. If you'd like your channel recreated, PE ingame.
-Migrated to a new server host, performance increased and costs decreased. Huzzah!
-Render distance capped by the server increased from 8 -> 12 chunks.
-New tutorial! New players will be required to use skills to get through the tutorial, while talking to NPCs. A mockup of the tutorial can be seen on our test server -> /test.
-Ruby, Emerald, Golden and Sapphire castles added. Waypoints to these added to /radar.
-Waypoints added to all dungeons, to spawn, the casino, and to the arena.
-Spawn region size increased.
-Gold ingots now worth 2c per ingot.
-Actual horses populate the New Atlas stables, instead of awkward horses built out of wooden stairs and buttons.
