    My first DotA type game was the HoN beta. After that, I never played the bloody things again. The game itself was alright, I guess, but the community was totally insufferable.

    I agree. Silencers don't work on the internals or mechanics, however, you might be able to install damping foam or baffles around the noisiest components if a quieter weapon is important to you.

    Sounds good. By a mount and blade battle system, I mean a system which applies a damage bonus based on the speed of your weapon relative to the target. M&B has often been praised for its excellent combat system, though it tends to fall short in other areas.

    This looks pretty good. I'll check out the trial, though I'm trying to steer clear of MMOs after I finished with EVE. If it combined all the features with a similar combat engine to Mount&Blade... Sometimes I wish I lived in America.

    Why? Because townships will face a neverending stream of PvP? Guards aren't meant to fight as such, they are mostly intended as a deterrent. No fear of death, no deterrent. Must I reiterate this point every five seconds? That's a nice concept if it weren't for the fact that people like to not...

    You could just make a fake silencer. Air guns make barely any noise a silencer would work on anyway.

    My point still stands. Make death something to fear and avoid for PvPers and your thoughts will have some validity. Otherwise, guards posted in towns have no use whatsoever except to try and fight a never ending stream of enemies; there's no disencouragement because there's no fear of death.

    On top of that, PvPers have all the advantage, because there is almost no consequence at all for death. As a result, the PvPers just keep coming and coming because if they die, they can just pick up a new set of weapons and off they go again. Building, on the other hand, is based on efficiency...
