Lwc's are so costly when trying to expand towns, I've used my free ones, and bought 3-4 more. I guess this can be solved with citizens paying a mayor for a cheap lwc, but 16 lwc's may not be enough.

Word on the street is that mayors will be getting special LWC discounts and high limits. So like the good mayors in Sanctum world you should be able to throw down some town money on giving all your d00ds some LWCs.

This is ideal. Perhaps an LWC limit to match your current Town status.
  • 10 LWC Limit for Town status at 100 coins a piece
  • 15 LWC Limit for City status at 100 coins a piece
And so on and so forth. The price can be adjusted as well. This will provide initiative for towns with 20+ people to upgrade to city. With a higher town rank, more LWC's for citizens become available. What think ye @Kainzo ?

What if you are a non donator mayor. Meaning you can't get multiple LWCs for your townspeople.

Kain can adjust this, by allowing mayors special privileges. He can just edit our player settings and allow you more LWC's. Simple yeah? He could also give us a shiny mayor tag but that's up to him ;)

You know, we can do alot of things you probably don't expect ;)

Back in the days of Sanctum the mayors of towns actually got status tags next to their name like the staff do.

Just imagine:

[Mayor]Neotetro(*): How's it going?
[Viceroy]S3nse(*): Pretty good.
[Guide]Dielan9999(*): I heard Neo likes cute asian boys!
[King]Domitius(*): LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

I'm pretty sure non-donor mayors will get all the new perks coming in:)

I sure hope the tags come back, along with the implementation of my idea regarding LWC limits and town size.

We are now veering offtopic into Ideas for free and discount LWC's; start a new thread for those discussions. As for now this thread is titled town theft. When my brother went to get whitelisted I told him I would only let him play herocraft on ONE condition. He had to join a town allied to Orion, I wouldn't let him go to North Reach or Kamino, not because I thought they were a bunch of creeps. But because I didn't want any issues on town theft or mistakes that my brother made, coming back to my IP resulting in me getting in trouble. If your whitelist is honest which would make you over 13, then you should be more mature then to go about raiding towns because your "big brother" is enemies with them, and you can take advantage of them. Me and other Orion members have discusses multiple times the people we suspect to have dual accounts. Just today GaidenFocus came to our chat and told us, Don't recruit "I forgot his name" because hes coming to raid you. This is the behavior that people should take when it comes to a server. Hardcore means that the mobs are extremely difficult, PVP is insanely difficult and complex. I think this all boils down to responsibility and I bet when Kainzo first created Herocraft he never planned out a rule that said using friends accounts to rob enemies blind is legal. I would almost guarantee this wasn't what his idea of hardcore was. If you want to play the game at a degree where using multiple accounts and cheating though a difficult town application process is legal, then you should go play an anarchy server....I was gonna put up a dictionary definition for hardcore but most of it relates to porn...I guess thats all I gotta say.

Anyways, Serrat just added a new rule. No alternate accounts on the same ip. If you are using the same ip you must notify him and why you are using it.

adaring, this is no longer an issue if you check the rules. Joining a town to steal from them is prohibited. Also, you can now steal from town halls! :D

Cool, that's that clarified then.

Although I'm a little sad to see possible espionage removed from the game (Join town for info on members, to learn town layout, to steal from townies).
The only way to steal from a town now is to not be a member and somehow get inside AND find a chest without blocks ontop of it.

Most of us can look back not too long ago and remember the infamous thief Xtb5x from coal harbor. For some of us, what he did was game-breaking and his actions induced a plague of town theft the ultimately lead to the banning of stealing rare blocks, griefing and stealing from town halls.

However, this sunday/monday, another thief appeared on the server; Phillyeagles. Not surprisingly he had a motive for stealing, he was stealing for Kamino, and town that is at war with Orion, the victim town. This highly targeted theft is obvious it was intentional and such actions should be completely illegal, and it would appear Kainzo agrees with this point, however that's what I heard when he was asked by Danda in help chat.

Now my point in divulging this information is a plead for reformation. I'm suggesting town theft by town members in any circumstance be illegal, possibly resulting in a 3-day suspension; skipping the first warning to the second as this should not be encouraged by any means. It isn't right that a town can either take new members, or have alternate accounts, and use them to become a member of a hostile town to steal from them and help themselves. If you allow this to continue, you'll destroy this server because everyone will start doing it, towns will stop recruiting members, and life on the server will be dull, as everyone will be too paranoid to recruit new members.

In refutation, should I hear suggestions such as "Buy LWCs" or "It's a part of life. Be more careful as to whom you recruit" I have this to say: No.

Why should my citizens, and why should my friends have to buy LWCs when they live in a town? Does that not make towns redundant? If the purpose of a town is to offer protection, yet it cannot guarantee that its citizen's chests will be secured from all threats, foreign and domestic, then it does not serve its purpose of protecting its citizens. LWCs should not be necessary if you live in a town, as the town is supposed to offer the protection the LWC does, and more. Furthermore, it is not the job of the town to look into the people they recruit. It is not the responsibility of the mayor or his council to investigate the people he/she recruits, as they may be a new member, or may have no traceable forum posts.

To put into perspective what he stole for Kamino, or all of North Reach, here's a tiny portion of what I know he stole:
20 stacks of iron ore
64 gold
3 stacks of lapis blocks
10+ misc. gold tools and weapons
other misc. Items we aren't yet sure about

Hopefully you will see reason in this argument, and prohibit stealing from fellow town members in every circumstance. Furthermore, I would expect to see proper punishment not only limited to the criminal, but to his associates, In this case, Kamino and North Reach. I would expect a full rollback of the player so as to return the items to their legitimate owners.

A new development in this case: http://gyazo.com/ff160dab6ce0861ac06d4b0afcab23e1

Exactly my thougts! I was stolen 51 Gold, abut 2 stacks of iron and more ores, and then I was just told to wait for my mayor to tell me the name. Nothing else. No reimburse. I COULD NOT KNOW THAT! But farroes, the SiC of Kamino didnt know this afaik, though. TigoBitties and(if he isn't already banned) phillyeagles10 should be banned. Especially Tigo, since he knew about the rules. He is even the leader of Kamino, wich should mean he should really know these rules. Plus its common sense. I was robbed a lot, and I'm sure I'm not the only one, and we all can't get any of our valuables back, only if he gets rollbacked. I think that would be the only fair move.
Thanks.

These rules were only clarified recently, I don't see how anyone could be punished for breaking them beforehand. ^

I agree with Redkhan, No one should be banned for what happened before the new interpretation of the rules, that always causes confusions and more trouble than it's worth since you need to go back and appeal each past situation. I was only seeking clarification since everyone kept saying it was a grey topic when quoting the rules and it has been sorted out for the most part.

In conclusion:
Now that townhalls are legal to steal from it's good for what most people have been yelling about, being hardcore. Which I applaud but it also makes sense for the more LWC for the Mayors since towns are meant as a form of protection.

The town rules are still up for interpretation but the main point I been pushing of having what I believe as "alternative accounts" been resolved from the most part of someone who has access to multiple accounts.

I fully agree with the townhall vault idea and now that LWC are reasonable since taxes meant we were paying a LWC a week basically we have affordable alternatives then just "region locking" the chests, I will still let citizens keep items in their home because it's simply more convenient and the amount of room to fit everyone's items is a hassle to manage and absurd when it can be used for better use like a pool in the town hall. Pool > more chests.

Speaking for myself, I am satisfy with these new amendments to the rules and I am sure people are relieved since this backhanded method is unfair to many legit players. If you disagree I would like to know why.

Enough of this, lets go back to Herocraft and just enjoy the server.
If we were in a bar, i would be saying rounds are on me! :p
