Another idea which would be insanely easy to implement. The concept is simple and very similar to bounties.
Heres how it works:
One would accept a stake which could only be done in a non-Pvp zone. This results in a 50c bounty-like reward for killing them (comes out of their own pocket). The only way to collect the stake is if one has a stake on themselves and obtains a kill on another that is also staked.
Why?
Encourages much more wilderness pvp, I'm tired of my reward from killing Mage classes being only a hoe some redstone... Also if dueling were implemented as well (or my idea of capture the flag) this would retain the focus of raiding and wilderness pvp. Generates another option of revenue as well that requires a lot more skill then mining. Another huge benefit is that it will take the focus off of noob hunting as those who are higher lvled will be those that are most likely to be staked. No more ragequiting nOobs becuase they are hunted constantly while mining.
Work to be done: coding should be very relatively simple and straight foward, and can easily be implementing using the current bounty framework. Hero Whois should be modified to show whether a player is staked or not as well as an additional command that allows you to see everyone that is staked. Very easy and a very rewarding addition to the server if implemented.
