What's the reason for 10K Hamlets?

I really like to get a good explaination for why the Hamlet cost is now 10K. It's very unfair for all the new towns, who have to pay twice as much then the old towns, for the same size regions.

Suggestions: Towns that has to pay 10K for Hamlet, should pay less for next upgrade or that the towns who paid 5K has to pay more then the 10K towns for upgrade.

well, logically, we on a small map 3000x3000 (ish)
we have 18 hamlets. that is ALOT for this size map. at 50r or 100x100
that is 1800 by 1800 that is regioned( i suck at math bad and this is ether off or wrong eek)

little over half the map is regioned..... O_O

ether way that is alot of turf regioned.. i dunno if map going to expand or etc.
member that first day playing? crafter costs 5c to get? then 25c? then 100c?
same thing. those that happened to have the coin and ablitity to get that low cost got it, rest of us. tuff luck.

yes it sucks.. but it is how it is.

18 100x100 regions is only 100x1800. Only a tiny part of the map is regioned at this point

It seem to me that it's pretty unfair for everyone except the people power mining and grinding the first week.

At the moment there are no town-taxes that Mayors need to pay to Kainzo, so I suppose this increased price makes up for that?

I think the price rose to encourage people to join the existing towns instead of making more and more small towns that fail after a month or two. (not saying someone in particular's town will fail, just saying that already a LOT of towns has failed)

Yes, but for example me. I planned my town just as long as many others, but i wasn't able to play much the first weeks, so i used more time then everyone else to gather coins.

Not everyone has to make their own town. That is why the prices are increased. It could have been "after 15 towns are settled no more towns can be settled until any of the existing ones stop being towns" but instead they made it possible to create more towns, but they cost more to encourage people to join existing ones.

We're hammering out the pricing and the tiers. Thank's for being patience mates :)
I think I have a good formula for it - the base hamlet will be 7500c (50R protection)
