Haha, I remember SPUN. Got killed by lack of communications between anyone who involved, lack of time on my behalf and just a rocky start when I had a power cut during our first meeting, which made the execution of our first attempt pretty messy. Still, the concept was sound, and Azen's passion for it when he was first put in charge kept it quite alive and growing for a while, despite our failures.

Good luck to you guys with this, so long as you can get the communication working out well and so long as each town actually agrees to what you're saying and are aware of this, you should be alright. One thing to consider is going further than just protecting towns and building up a collected fund for upkeep emergencies in any of the towns, or establishing 'safe trade routes' within towns of the diplomatic group. So long as there are sufficient benifits to towns within this group, provided by other towns in the group, as well as good communication and a good core execution, the idea will stay strong.

It's nice to see people trying to make a difference in the right direction morally.
