Well I've been doing it for months lol. Back around late april/early may someone asked in /ch o if using F3 to see mobs was legal and one of the staff said it was legal. I don't remember which staff member, but I know for sure it was a mod or admin.

I checked the rules page and the unwritten rules thread just now and found no references to using F3 being illegal, directly or indirectly.

The rule is, any exploitation is bannable. Personally, I wouldn't think of F3 as an exploitation either, but you can't really argue about what the staff thinks after this thread.

I'm not arguing anything. I was just saying that there seems to have been some confusion among the players and the staff as to its legality. It should be clearly stated on the rules page that F3 counts as X-raying.

I certainly wasn't intentionally cheating these last few months... if I were, I most likely wouldn't have just admitted to it

Concerning F3: I honestly don't see why it's an issue. It's in the game and hasn't been fixed. I don't consider it cheating, in fact I use it every day on my alt. Every. Day.

Also, it's not the fact that F3 was used in either case, it's that the player was banned and lied on their application about it.

I didn't know i was on any ban list. I only played on buxville for 1 day and thought it didn't have enough players. I just went mining with f3 and then i get a pm on my minecraft forum telling me that i can't go back on buxville for xray. I thought it was just BS and didnt think much of it because i had no intentions of going back to that server anyways. Had i known I was on some Omega Ban list, or banned at all, I would have told you guys in my application. Like i said, I havent been really committed to many servers before so if they banned me for the one day i was on, i probably wouldnt know about it. But i've been playin on this server religiously like everyday since i was whitelisted so if there is anything i can do to get back on i'll do it.​
