Suggestion Two Berserker Issues: Rupture and Lunge

Ok, I'm going to start with Lunge. Note this is more subject to my opinion, but I hope you get where I'm coming from.

Lunge - Jump 6 + 0.1/str point blocks

^ That distance I have no problem with. I'm not asking for jump here, however.

Stamina cost = 350
Cooldown = 22 seconds

The latter annoys me more. Why is our only functional tool for breaking a kiting rhythm only usable one time in a fight basically? It's cool down is about 3 times longer than Jump. I understand Dragoon is the mobile class but seriously, more stamina cost and a vastly longer cooldown. As a Berserker people kiting you is constantly a problem, as most classes can do it without much difficulty. Lunge is our only skill to close in on someone kiting. Headbutt and maim don't help when you can't reach your target.

Edit: Also, it's not that uncommon for me to get just get hit mid-lunge and get a big knock back. If that happens to
a Berserker they're just flat out screwed most likely, because there is nothing they can do.

One other problem I have with lunge, though this is entirely opinion.

Please, make Lunge usable out of combat. During combat require a target, but please out of combat can we just use it freely? Berserker already has 2 other skills that we can almost never use. Provoke and Frenzy.

Moving on to Rupture

Rupture was something I looked forward to before I mastered Berserker. I thought it would help a lot with those people who I could never keep up with. (A lot of people). However, I found that Rupture didn't ever really help me out that much. After speaking with him about it, @malikdanab and I tested rupture.

According to the description of Rupture on the wiki

"You deal a mighty blow to your target (within 6 blocks), dealing (30 + 1.125 per strength point) physical damage and leaving them vulnerable to hemorrhage for the next 8 seconds during which time they will take 5 bleeding damage each time they move a block or two."

Most berserkers have about 35 strength. The initial damage is ok. However, the bleeding damage is absolutely messed up. First off, wiki says every block or two. We found this to be completely false. Malik ran as fast as he could after I ruptured him. He got 7 ticks of damage. You know how far he ran? About 50 blocks. If he sprinted and jumped it was 14 ticks. Even with that though, it's very very far from every block or two. The damage dealt by rupture to someone running as fast as they can is very underwhelming. I used Rupture on a Beguiler with 800 hp once. He sprinted the entire time during bleeding effect. He only lost *drumroll* 1 heart. That's pretty ridiculous in my opinion.

Some people might think "But rupture is meant to stop people from running away not dealing damage".

Rupture doesn't do anything to stop people from sprinting. All you have to do is hold ctrl. Rupture does not slow you down at all anymore.

How I think Rupture should be changed.

1.) Lower base bleeding damage and let it scale. Bleeding damage is constant and it shouldn't be. Berserker Rage effect please.
2.) Make it actually "every block or two" not every 4-8 blocks.

Right now Rupture is really disappointing, especially considering how it's our master skill.

In the case of lunge, I have two suggestions on it:
  • Allow the user to lunge onto his allies. It may seem silly at first, but it would provide some (all be it small) escape potential.
  • Maybe give the skill a secondary effect? Currently it's just a much worse version of Disciple's "Flying Kick" (It deals damage and silences)

Lunging to ally actually could be useful. Other night our town was getting raided. One of my allies was running from two ninjas. It took me forever before I could finally get next to him and help out. If lunge worked on ally it would have been a lot easier.

Eh, I don't think lunge needs to deal damage to be honest if that's what you mean. It is lunge, not tackle.

I forgot to mention something about lunge, making edit.
