Hey guys! I know HC has a lot on it's plate right now and suggestions may be viewed as just another hassle for the Admins, but I think this one would be very cool :)

Traps!

I was thinking perhaps granting a skill to whatever class it's best with, that enables you to put certain traps on items. Whatever item your holding, after activating the skill you throw it away/drop it. Whom ever picks it up could take damage. Be it catching on fire, or slowed by ice.. or even just taking damage straight up. Add's a bit more trickery to the mix when out in the wild, running on the roads or something of that sort.

Anyway, just an idea ;) @Kainzo

Maybe if the skill allowed you to trap a certain block, that when you break it, deals damage. It could work like you click a block after typing /skill trap to mark it as trapped. Could also be used to doors when opened.

But I also like your idea :)

I think it'd be sick. Like, an unsuspecting noob is walking on a road while your sneak, hidden, watching him go for that gold ingot you've placed. He picks it up, catches fire and you jump him and take your gold back. :p

Well, my trap idea was more for PVP prospective. :S

Lol I can imagine it now:

-1v5 PvP.
-The lone player throws a booby-trapped gold block in front of him.
-The other 5 swarm over it, hoping to grab it.
-The gold block is picked up, triggering chain lightning (or something to that extent)
-All 5 of them die and the lone player skips off into the sunset with 5 players worth of loot and his gold block.

I always wanted a block that would temporarily phase out when stepped on... u step on it and it dissapears in like 2 seconds. Enough time to run over it, but at a dead end level - it could be fatal.
