Almost half my job is networking when I work with my dad, and troubleshooting networking/administration issues.

Including things like big plant installations, and commercial aspects. Hell, some of the shit we do goes back to dos based port and networking communication issues. Like assigning some of the "new" hightech machines to LTP ports so they can take digital input of fabric designs, etc, like a Printer does. Except they only work on msdos or similar systems. LOL.

I noticed testout's platform handles stuff back to windows xp, and server 2003, which would cover most things. But our "nice" hospital was using windows 95 and windows 98 platforms on half of their old ass computers, and the maintenance crews and old bats working the machines have never seen windows xp when they upgraded their servers, networks, and workstation's to windows 7 OS. They had to hire supposed "IT" guys, at like $8/hr to train/teach people how to use the new workstations for like 3 months, from the local college(s). Heh heh.

Yeah FUCK NETWORKING lol :p It's required for the general CIS degree(only IT degree my college has) so I took it anyway, I will probably keep studying and get CompTIA Network+ certification for the hell of it. Some of those questions were really hard, because it wasn't multiple choice it was lab based with piss poor instructions on what they were looking for.

Like in one lab I had to ping from one workstation to another to troubleshoot why one can't connect to the internet, but i had command line access to both (but only the ping command could be used) and on the network diagram Wrk1 was labeled as PC 2. TRICK QUESTION. I almost didn't notice and wrote the wrong ip addresses down in some of the question text boxes lol
