I noticed other towns asking players to apply for townie-status via the town's forum thread. Is this allowed? If so, and should there be no complaints, I'd like to do the same. We'd like to boost our numbers, but are rather wary of letting randoms roam around.

It's legal to recruit people via forums, however, they must actually log in to be considered active. Not to mention there's a 3 day rule for joining townships.

Definitely read that as "Illegal" at first, phew! We just aren't comfortable letting random people into town without even a simple application to look at. I appreciate your help Ginz, thanks!
