Most of us know Quidditch from Harry Potter, some don't know it, let us pity them and get to the point. ChiefTiger built a Quidditch Field, and then we came up with the idea of actually playing Quidditch on herocraft. But how would this work? Basically the game will be played a bit differently. I'd accurately call it: "Arrow PvP Quidditch".

Rules:

1) Teams must be formed by 7 people:

1 - Manager (To handle all finances) - Must have 1,000+ coins at all times
1 - Keeper (Defender) - May only use swords
3 - Scorers (To Score) - May use bows and swords (swords for snitch) (Let me elaborate on this: They will try to shoot arrows through the hoops for points, NO points are awarded for PvP but it does help your teams chances to win if players are missing from the other team)
2 - Bludgers (To kill opposing team scorers) - May only use swords

2) Only the Keeper and Bludgers may kill.

3) You get a penalty for entering zones you are not allowed to enter. (Pre-defined areas) Shown Below:

The keeper must stay between the keeper line (can stand directly on the line) and the score hoops. If the keeper passes the keeper line he/she is removed from play for all rounds.

4) You get a bonus (8 pts) for killing the Snitch (Basically some jackass running around in gold plate that you want to kill)

5) If food is allowed is still a bit iffy, not completely decided that.

6) Wolves are not allowed.

Fees:
Per Match: 150c
Per Tournament: 250c

Prizes:
Match: 200c
Tournament:
1st: 400c
2nd: 200c
*Fees and prizes do not begin until later in the season, first games are free

Some additions:

A game of quidditch is composed of 3 rounds. Each round players are "respawned". A round ends when either:
-All players on one team are dead
-All three hoops are scored through on one side.

The team with the most points at the end of a game wins. The snitch appears in round 2.

Please understand this is still in concept form. Prices and winnings are not solid. Basically the idea is to have people with funds found teams, then split the winnings with their players. This allows for more flow of coins throughout the server and in a super fun way. Me and ChiefTiger are going to run the quidditch league, so if ya got questions go ahead and ask so we can hammer out the details.

We are also seeking some people willing to help play-test and finish the game theory. If you would like to try this out, find some friends and post in this thread so we can call on you when its testing time.

/ch quidditch for official quidditch chat!

I was browsing around the new world map yesterday and I cam across a strange, oval shaped valley. I said to myself, "Self, that looks like a Quidditch field".
Now I know that it was.

Sounds fun. We are planning on making a Quidditch field close to SkyForge too, but that is just because we are building all of Hogwarts (even the lake and dark forest) so we need to make a Quidditch field too.

Btw, I think you should start out with friendly matches that cost no money to participate in to make people interested/know the game before they have to pay.

Yea, this has been part of the plan. After testing, we will have free matches until it catches enough heat to start being competitive.

and now we know how big of losers these guys are! ;)

There is a certain point of loserness that once you pass you can't become even more of a loser. I passed this line years ago.
