[Fallen Angels] Good (12)
::Fallen we may be, but we still have our wings::
<Fallen from grace in the service of the light, we will do what we must to protect and defend>
Guardian angels have long been part of man's beliefs. A stroke of good fortune or a miraculous twist of fate, these were attributed to these invisible unheard beings that, if the legends were to be believed, were capable of working wonders.
This myth holds more truth than may be seen. The angels were a race of winged beings similar to man and yet different. They lived in the same world and had similar communities, but lived a plane apart. While humans were largely unaware of angels, angels have known of humans since their first inception. Often, an angel would take a fancy to a human and their descendants, becoming their 'guardian angel' and manipulate things around them to their benefit.
However, it is taboo for angels to reveal themselves to humans; their very forms are incomprehensible to them and would drive them insane on sight. Despite this law, in some cases, angels have been forced to materialize in order to defend their charge, usually when the one they guard is unconscious or unable to see them clearly. These angels were the ones responsible for the many myths and legends about 'guardian angels' and were banished as punishment, their wings stripped and forced to take on the guise of humans.
Forced to live amongst humans and bereft of their wings, these fallen angels nevertheless continue to aid the ones they have come to call their own, through blade and bow, hoe and axe.
We are Fallen. But we will always carry our wings in our hearts.
The Fallen Angels is a good-aligned guild created solely to aid those who need aid throughout Bastion and even beyond. We answer questions that newbies have, but only those that are whitelisted (We leave Tour to the Guides). Help is not limited to questions alone; we help new and returning players get on their feet, give them food and basic supplies, fend off PvP'ers or mobs, and generally make the world a better and more idealistic place to live in. Help is also not restricted to newbies alone; anyone who needs help is a potential ally. Our aim is to have a self sufficient, totally independent and well defensible HQ with farms that will be used as the source of any supplies we hand out. To put it quite simply, we aim to be anti-griefers.
We understand this is not an easy path, and there are nearly no rewards except gratitude which won't buy you that diamond sword you want. But this is a path. Whether to walk it or not is up to you.
- Lurk /h, help out whenever you can.
- Follow ALL the server rules. No exceptions.
- Your guildsmen are your brothers. Hold them as equal to or even above your townmates.
- Unprovoked PvP is not allowed, not even against our enemies if possible. PvP is allowed only to defend yourself, your guildmates or those that need help. Diplomacy is always prefered. Duels are acceptable if both sides consent to it.
- You can ask for donations from the ones you've helped if you wish, but be polite, understand that they may decline, and never force them to do what they don't want to.
- We don't mind what town you're in. If your town is at war with a guildmate's, that's fine but please don't kill each other while on guild business.
- While stealing is legal by server rules, we'd prefer for guildmates to have fairly clean hands.
- Removing floating trees. Many people are too lazy to place a block or two down to get that last bit of wood floating in the air. The result is what is typically called floating trees dotting the landscape. Remove them.
- Removing 1x1 towers. These towers are popular since they remove people from immediate harm during the night, allow them to reach out of reach places and see further ahead, and serve as posts that might mark building sites. They are, however, a bit of an eyesore. Remove them. Note: As noted, these might be used to mark building sites. Always make sure they actually serve no purpose before tearing them down. If in doubt, leave alone.
- Landscaping. Some bits of land have been randomly carved up by people needing resources. In the event that you come across such an area that serves no purpose (No one is living or building anything there), try and touch things up a bit so they don't stand out as a scar. This can be as simple as filling in the 1x1x1 holes sometimes left in the landscape, to terraforming an abandoned mining site. Fairly low priority though. Note: As above, make completely sure the area is no longer in use before proceeding. If in doubt, leave alone.
- The secret key to joining is #jfaXY, where X is the first letter of your forum name and Y is the number of vowels (a, e, i, o, u). Y can be 0. For example, my own secret key is #jfak3.
- Sell food cheaply. A major goal of the guild is to ultimately have a few chestshops at each graveyard selling food for really cheap. This is to serve as a quick pick me up for anyone unfortunate enough to fall to the wildlife of Bastion (including other players), as well as serving as a cheap and readily available source of food for newbies who lack means of obtaining food themselves. Things to sell include seeds, wheat, bread, carrots, potatoes (cooked and uncooked), melons (and their seeds) and pumpkins (and their seeds). The aim is not to make a profit, but to supply food to those who need it.
- Answer questions. This is expected of any player, really. If anyone has a question that you can answer, answer it.
1. Be Polite - Always be polite to everyone. No racism, sexism or insults will be tolerated.
2. Be Helpful - Help everyone who needs help. You can expect something in return if you want, but I personally wouldn't. Rewards are NOT mandatory.
3. Be Responsible - Clean up after yourself. If you use a dirt tower to tear down floating trees or other towers, remove it after you're done using it.
Our current headquarters are located in the Honorable Ninja Farm. Coordinates will be given to members, although I think it's fairly well known. Here's a picture:
This is a temporary base. Our objective is to have a base in each quadrant of the map. The map will be divided into four with spawn being the center, and a base established in the North-West, North-East, South-West and South-East of the map, from which guild activities will be coordinated.
- All new recruits are considered Einjar. They must pass a personalized trial before being promoted to Angel.
- Angels are the footsoldiers of the guild, so to speak. They go about their daily business, keeping an eye on chat and the world around them while helping out those that need help. Angels should listen to Archangels unless they're being silly.
- Archangels are the captains of the guild, the ones who guide the Angels. They're essentially Angels, roaming the world and what not, but are expected to lend a helping hand to any Angels that require it as well as rally other Angels in case more manpower is needed. One Archangel is appointed for every five Angels in the guild.
- The secret key to joining is #jfaXY, where X is the first letter of your forum name and Y is the number of vowels (a, e, i, o, u). Y can be 0. For example, my own secret key is #jfak3.
- Dominions are the second in commands of the guild. There are three of them, and barring the voice of the Seraph they hold control over the guild. If there is a dispute among the Dominions, a vote should be held among the three with a majority vote prevailing.
- The Seraph holds absolute authority, but he isn't unreasonable. Debates are encouraged.
- In case of a dispute, follow the hierarchy upwards.
- All recruitment recommendations can come from anyone, but the final decision rests with the Seraph. However, if the three Dominions unanimously vote for the opposite of the decision of the Seraph, the Seraph's decision is overruled.
- Virtues are the guardian angels of the guild. They are our fighting experts, both PvP and PvE.
- The Virtues are considered a sub-guild of sorts; they are an internal guild with their own hierarchy and bases. This means that authority doesn't carry over from the guild and vice versa. An Archangel does not command Soldiers, and Captains do not command Angels.
- Being General of the Virtues does not mean you are a Dominion of the Fallen Angels, and being an Archangel in the Fallen Angels does not mean you are a Captain of the Virtues.
- You can hold a Fallen Angel rank alongside a Virtue rank. For example, you can be both an Archangel and a Soldier.
- All Virtues are chosen from Angels of the guild, meaning they must have passed the trial and become a full fledged member of the guild before being allowed to apply.
- Trainees are the recruits of the Virtues. They are expected to have specced into a combat class at the very least, and are willing to fight when needed such as when the guild has been raided.
- Soldiers are the main frontline fighters of the Virtues. As with Trainees, they must be willing to fight for the defense of the guild and those in need of help.
- Captains are the senior Virtues and lead the Soldiers and Trainees. They are expected to give tips and maybe even train the lower tiered members if they need it.
- The General is the Virtue who handles everything in the guild, for the most part. Most final decisions are up to him, and he organizes the Virtues whenever and wherever they are needed.
- The Commander is merely the Dominion in charge of the Virtues. His authority is similar to the General.
- The Virtues are guardians and defenders, not angels of vengeance. They do not return evil unto evil nor do they seek out and destroy enemies without provocation. Ganking, camping, random killing and unprovoked murders will not be tolerated.
- Deathmatches, duels, arenas and the like are all acceptable as ways of training and building up PvP skill.

- Help those in need. If you see someone getting beset by mobs, kill the mobs for them. If you can, heal them. Give them food if they need it, stone tools if they're empty. While I would personally refrain from butting into PvP scenarios, it's your call as to whether or not to join in the fray, so long as it's for a relatively good cause.
