There is pvping, and there is camping. Pvping is fun and profitable. Camping one location over and over is just being a douche.

Why don't you guys just go camp one of the other several hundred users / areas / towns? There actually is a point when killing in one area becomes ridiculous.

I agree. I think what they are doing is just fine. With the killing and stuff. However the camping is just dumb. Plus everytime I've come to airbus' with some friends to help out. They sit in the nopvp region for most of the time. I get what they are going for, but it could be done better.

It's gone over the line from legit PvP to camping harassment, we simply can't keep this up.

There's a whole lot of other people to kill out there, camping one spot has become harassment of the server population in general.

We aren't trying to kill one user more than another. zDylann and Bazola come and try to get rid of us every now and then. They are successful sometimes for like 15 20 minutes. Same. People should step up and fight. Even get paid to do it. However the nopvp abuse has gone pretty far. Plus how they just camp airbus like that is pretty bad.

Where is the evidence? Give us some video or extensive log data. I've never been one to side with the TC and Budda has always seemed helpful if nothing else, but I'm not really seeing anything concrete here. Airbus can throw himself at the TC all he wants and the next second get a sympathetic mod to take his side? How is this fair to the rest of the server thats been harassed in much the same fashion and then COMPLETELY ignored by the staff?

Sure, as staff members you can ignore the user base and do w/e you feel like, but that doesn't make what you do right. It just means you're able to do it. If you're going to enact this kind of protection on a shop keeper, why not do it for the nice little mushroom farmer that had the same problem when the new map was released? Why not protect town bankers like stated above? Why not protect helpless crafters like myself?

If Airbus doesn't have enough friends to protect himself or enough money to hire some defense, why should he be getting special treatment? We can all ignore the fact that we like Airbus and hate the TC, but thats the only real reason any of this is being done. If people did really care enough to do something, they'd fight back against the TC instead of running to a mod for asylum.

I have an idea though! Why don't the TC declare war on the Airbus Shops? Or they could just call it a "blockade".

Not gonna lie anonymiter has a point. I wasn't there when it happened, but if this is anything like what happened with madlum then why should staff step in to stop the carnage. Even if airbus is loved by everyone he takes the same risk as all other wilderness shop owners. You guys want staff to keep the peace when clearly it is a time for war. D:<

There is a line between pvp and harassment. You were stalking Airbus. Following him through Zeal and actively tracking him. I mean its fine to kill someone from time to time. But you were actively hunting him. I remember the other day In Zeal there were five of you verbally abusing him and stalking him. I mean I think pvp is fun to do once In a while. But actively hunting a guy down multiple times? That's too far.

I think the other thing to point out if they have been bothering a lot of people. Not just Airbus. It doesnt seem to be the mods saying "It's all because AB has complained" but because the mods have had to sit. And wait. And watch while you just camp the same place. It's true you kill anyone and everyone to pass by, except those who you consider allies. But it's AB who's taken the brunt of it and it's unfortunate that he's getting all the blame aswell. Is this really the best use of the Mods/Admins time?

There has been a lot of people wanting "griefing" to be defined in clear-cut terms. So they know what is legal and what is not. It's simple enough "Don't be a dick" should summarise it enough. To quote wikipedia (Such a good source )

A griefer is a player who does things in a game to deliberately cause annoyance ("grief" in the sense of "giving someone grief") for the griefer's own enjoyment

The main reason for camping? "We pvp for xp/loot/fun." It's sure as hell annoying me to hear the bitching. Want to pvp for fun? Then move around a little bit more. Make ThornHollow the scourge of the world and raid every town in turn. Just get some variety in there. I've been in a town you guys were raiding. I just didn't play for the day. I say day because you stayed there for freaking hours. Gotta give you credit for your patience. Others continued to run out and get killed giving you your xp.

This entire event of "A shop being camped" has turned into a large scale "AB should stop whining" or "Why should AB get this treatment?" All the same it's definately causing unwanted attention IMO.
I also see quite a lot of insults and bickering for rule 2. Not always started by TCs but it's still continued and that's no better.

Why is it AB and not "all players? Because it's only with him you have broken a rule. Other players can just take the large circuit avoiding ABs or go to any section of the map they like.

But that's the TOS. Lets look at the rules eh?

Well you aren't camping outside to kill one player, but it's every player as you say. So that's a lot of counts of harassment if you ask me.

What else? Oh yes the constant cries of "It's a hardcore PVP server!" Well no. If you actually look at minestatus for example it's "PVP | PVE | RPG | HARDCORE" That's Harcore & PVP. A slight difference. If you only want to PVP, I suggest you go find a server that's actual -focus- is pvp.

"Hardcore" from everything i've seen lies in the fact that any loses, are loses. Staff do not reimburse. All work and all buildigns are legit. Staff do not give out items and all projects, even server ones need to be done by normal game mechanics and legit resources (Well Zeal might be a bit of an exception here). It's also due to the fact that the mobs are made of pure undiluted rape. It's not related to the fact that PVP is enabled.

I've had my say. I'm sick of the bickering about it. Let's get a founders verdict about it and stop all the god damn whining. Que the 7 posts dissecting this and arguing every point. I might even read them but again, I'm tired of the bickering. I'm going to return to my hole, continue to dig. If I see a TC I'll run, probably die and lose my shiny things but i'll get over it. I just hope they find a less argument causing form of "fun"

I am starting to hate the PvP on the West Road too! This guy keeps coming to me when I am trying to build and I have to recall to save myself.

I could have got the building done so mcuhe earlier.

I know this is a hardcore server, but the players keep on coming!
