Spout Client Issue

Hey there HC community i'm having issues with the spoutcraft client. The screen flashes every couple of seconds or so and is really irritating. I have no issue with this with the official Minecraft client. The problem increases in intensity when I have a menu open including chat. Any help with this would be much appreciated.

You may want to try posting on spout.org and maybe uninstall / reinstall java7.
