So what texture packs do you use?

I use Eld Pack. It's so much better than Painterly, and the way he uses dithering is a sight to behold. Custom water is coming soon, and it's awesome! I also hate Painterly because Rhodox is a jerk, while Eld actually listens to his texture pack users.

Yay! Finally someone else who also uses this. Eld is a pretty cool guy, and yeah, on polycount.com he posted his texture pack and gets input on it as well.

I've been using default as well for a while, but if I were to use a pack again it'd be jerudoku or gerudoku or some variation. There are like 400 different people doing his texture pack since he dropped it, but most have the same basic textures from the original so it's all good, just the new items differ between the masses.

Now I use Bordercraft (128) with VonDoomCrafts HD Mobs that pretty much have the same feel as Bordercraft's textures. You gotta check it out.

Imagine the lag i would get.... i put on a 256x256 texture pack once, and my god it was bad. it was like being really drunk.... and everything was really vivid

Personally, I use Painterly and a less well known one made by a friend of mine, Deerwalk's SimpleCel Pack.

I used to use Misa's. I can't figure out how to get it to work with Neo's pack. So now I use Piecraft.

It's prolly the installer that causes the issue since misa's is an HD pack you need to install. Try getting the mods individually that you want from the pack and installing them yourself.

There is an order to do it so make extra jars, not sure if you need to install the HD pack first and then the mods, or mods and then the pack. You'll find out when the game errors or not, but it's possible.

This is what i do, considering i have a mac. I use misa's mostly.

You have to install misa's first, then install your mods. If youre using improved chat and zans, you have to download modloader and zans first because of the conflict between the two mods.
