Ok, smiths have good armor. Sure. You're a dragoon! you have the skill jump, and its up to you to actually use your skills strategically as opposed to blindly slicing an iron sword around. Learn to use your skills to beat your opponents instead of just complaining about them.

Jump is not really an offensive skill but rather a utility skill use to run away or chase a player.

Having better armor could actually out-weights having better sword i think. This is due to the fact that you can spam food as much as you need to stay alive and with better armor your food depletes at a slower rate. This is why people think class like Paladin are overpowered, coupled with their abilities, they are one deadly foe. :)

...aren't Dragoons supposed to be better with using a Shovel (replacement for a Lance) rather than a sword?

Duno how much increased damage that is. I believe the lance is on par with something like a stone sword.

The lance, currently does 2.5 hearts. The skill is not working. If it did, this wouldn't be a problem. Ironswords and stone swords are both 3 hit kills.

Quit bitching. It just means that a Crafter class can actually hand someone else's ass to them instead of the other way around.

Either find some friends who are Smiths, or just avoid PVP. Bitches.

Uh... it's a crafting class, don't be dumb.

heres an idea: dont let smiths repair the armor they are currently wearing.

who ever heard of a blacksmith working on armor while wearing it?

allowing smiths to repair what they are wearing without removing it first means they effectively have two health bars, and if they have food and gravel/leather, they cant be killed.

I think this is an excellent compromise, and doesnt nerf smiths too much

Yeah the Smith in question isn't at level 45 yet and can't auto repair his Armour, and to repair it during battle means taking it off - putting it on your hotbar and typing in a command - hardly quick and very unlikely to do this during a battle.

I was told by someone, who was told by a smith that's at level 50, auto repair all repairs armor in the armor slots.

Okay, we need a first-hand account from either a level 50 Smith or a coder/admin as to how this works. @Kainzo? Can you put this to rest?

it took literally an hour to kill him, he dropped repair mats and food but only one set of armor.this pattern was repeated.

also it doesnt matter, I just spoke with anonymiter, who is a smith, and he says you can repair armor while wearing it.

the smith we fought most likely macro'd his repair button, which made him able to basically enter keeanu reeves mode and be a one man army

So much for "first-hand account"...
I agree, it doesn't make sense to allow armor to be repaired while wearing it. That aspect should be removed from Smiths.

Herocraft Wiki - Smith: (http://www.herocraftonline.com/wiki/index.php/Smith) said:
Smith Commands:
/rep [quickbar slot 1-9] repairs the tool/armour in this slot and deducts cost from inventory
/rep [quickbar slot 1-9] ?' tells you what item and how much of it is needed to repair this item
/rep [quickbar slot 1-9] dmg' tells you how many uses are left before this tool breaks | '/rep', '/rep ?', '/rep dmg' for the item in your hand
/rep all to repair ALL repairable items in your inventory including worn armour
/rep arm repairs all of your currently equipped armour
/rep arm ? tells you what you need to repair your equipped armour

Its a convenient tool but it has far to much room for abuse. I'm only 46 and /rep arm is still using leather. That means it is limited by materials but trying to take down someone that can essentially maintain a full set of armor is ridiculous. Add to it that you can set up macros to eat food from up to 8 inventory slots without changing from your weapon, and you end up with a crafter that can take 20-30 hits from a diamond sword before going down and keep swinging at you the whole time.

Setting aside the obvious lag issues, Skyzzz walked into our town with a party of 5 beating on him. He killed 2 of us and nearly got a third before we took him down. It wasn't that he was "such a good player" that he avoided our hits and kicked our asses. He took consecutive blows from all of us while we chased him up the ramp to our town hall.

Like I said, /rep armor and /rep all are convenient tools and shouldn't be removed but they need to be balanced. I think the best solution would be to remove the ability during combat. Essentially just disabling the ability within a specific amount of time after being hit. The easier solution would be to simply add a reasonable cooldown to it. 30secs-1min would be more than enough time. You could still use it in a fight but not indefinitely.
