Suggestion Smite and Bane of Arthropods

I recently got a duskbane bow. It has 2 interesting enchants : Smite and Bane of Arthropods. But those enchants don't work on bows, and I just lost 1620 coins and 648 soul catalysts :/
Is it possible to make those 2 enchants work on all weapons ?

It actually does work for the melee swings of the bow items.
However, it doesnt work otherwise, we'll see if we can get that working.
