Skill Proposal - Thief

I am very excited to start my spec soon and become a thief. Upon reading the skills on the wiki I came up with a rather nice idea. A small suggestion for a new skill.

Thieves have very low armor and as such have no choice but to either avoid being attacked by fleeing or being sneakily offensive. What about a skill that can accommodate to both? I was thinking of something like this; Thieves will often attack/ pillage during the night and when they can't be seen. This occurs in real life and in video games, movies ect.-ect. Why not make a skill where when once they get below a certain lighting level via night, being in shadows, knocking out torches on unsuspecting victims in a mine ect. That they have the ability to render them selves invisible for 10 second. Then can be knocked back into being visibility by running out of time, opening at a chest, getting hurt or hurting someone else.

The skill could be something like:

Skill: Shade
Level: 30
MP: 20
Cool down: 2 minutes
Reagents: Low Lighting
Effect: Renders user invisible for a period of 10 seconds.

Anyway this is just a thought. Something i would really really love to see.

Your ideas and thoughts?

Very interesting idea, I wonder if they have a way to detect light level when trying to activate a skill. Either way this has my vote for it :)

Hmm, I wonder. Thanks for the support! I really hope this idea is well liked and put into a new patch. It would be so much fun for raids and pvp.

If there were an easy way to accomplish this, I'm sure we'd be doing it, sk89q actually had a method to have 'light sensitive areas' but he did not release the source.

That would be cool, pretty much like smoke, I think it needs to be the same, or close to the same since it requires low lighting/darkness, MP cost and CD of smoke too, or it will make smoke a lot worse. Would make them more thief like.

Going invis for 10 seconds for 20 mana is a bit cheap.

Also, if it were possible, make it so they have to remain in the shadows to stay invis. If they hit light, then they become visible again.
