Simple question, Do you think that you have the right to see why you were banned? Basically look at it irl, do you want to be charged guilty with no clue what you did wrong? I think there should be some form of proof posted, something like screen shots for verbal harassment, or videos for harassment in PvP. How else will people learn what they did wrong? Will they learn by the person who banned them by giving a general subject like verbal harassment? What did they say that was harassment?

I said no, here is why. DH reserves the right to remove any player for any reason. Its all in the TOS, If they feel proof is required then they will post it.

^^ This is exactly my thought also...

Also you have to consider that posting "proof" may give away Herocraft hack detection practices. This could lead to people trying to circumvent such measures.

Either way above all, staff reserve the right to make the final decision at their own discretion.

This is a good point, however the form of proof I was thinking was more like screenshots to videos of the player, maybe X-raying and finding all the ores or screenshots of verbal harassment. I dont mean giving out all their secrects :p

This would require a bit of extra effort on behalf of the admins, and/or players. I don't think they should have to put in extra work for people who don't do their part to positively contribute in the first place.

TBH, this isnt a courtoom. This is a server they're allowing us play on. If they deem it, so be it. By agreeing to join the community, you agree to their terms and in turn are trusting them to moderate appropriately.

This is one of the best run servers out there, with a hard working staff that listens to the community, with (from what i've seen so far) well appointed admins and mods.

Seriously, I don't think its fair to make them do extra work for people who they don't feel should be on their server.

EDIT: I think their time would be better spent evolving the game and interacting with people who deserve to be there, don't you?

Ah, Brutal stalking people with his bone out. Nothing finer.

It comes down to the authority of the staff. As far as the server is concerned, they can do what they please and have no obligation to provide evidence. Sometimes it may be best for the sake of the community for the staff to share something like a screenshot, but they ultimately have nothing to prove to the players. We have excellent admins and mods here, and in my experience they're worthy of trust (even if Aphy is scary in her gold armor).
