Proffesions in minecraft all serve a purpose, with scribe kinda misc. Some do useful stuff like enchanter and smith, some make useful contraptions for towns like mason and engineer, and some make stuff like farmer and alchemist that you can sell in your shops once you master. But that brings me to the main problem.

Farmers, as it stands, are only able to sell 3 things. Food, plants, and wool. Makes sense, they are farmers and all... But. You are leaving out the main reason people go farmer! Leather! Farmers should have shops for leather. It makes sense! Its the main thing farmers make profit off of, and yet they have to use t chat to sell any or have a merchant friend.

Alchemists suffer from a similar dellema. They can't even sell chainmail..... The potions shops are useful but come on, no chainmail? Thats the main reason to go alchemist IMO! Give them a reason to master!

Enchanters, aswell. They should be able to sell enchanted picks.

You may think this might put merchants out of business. But it wont. merchants will still make money off of non-masters and they can sell everything from all the professions if they manage to get their hands on it!

I agree. Boy was I surprised to see that farmers couldn't sell their main source for money.

Yes, farmers could always just get in touch with a merchant, but by dealing with a middle man, the farmer loses money. If the leather standard is 2.5 coins per leather as an example, the merchant is going to buy it off the farmer for 2, or perhaps 1.5 if he's a jerk. Why on earth would a farmer need to take a huge cut like that?

Let's face it, farmers are at a disadvantage from the very beginning, and don't get that coveted SummonCow until level 40. Where it might take any other profession to get to level 40 by a day of mining, it could take a farmer ten-fold due to the grinding of what a farmer entails. Every other profession's XP canvas is the entire underground, a farmer physically needs to make his farm, underground preferably, with the notion that the bigger, the better. Ontop of all that are the frequent butchers of passive mobs (understandably). A farmer's life is grunt work, give us the golden ticket at level 60, for goodness sake.

Farmers can sell their general stock to Merchants to sell to the public.
Just like they generally do in RL.

Farmers can also make coin by spawning animals for people.

Advanced Farmers can sell Plants, Food, and Wool already.
That way these farmers can set up food shops and have the equivalent to a Farmers Market! :)
Just like they generally do in RL.

IMO, Farmers can make good coin if they apply themselves.
