-This is to address the problem that is preventing the railroad from being worked on, and a suggestion for how future projects can deal with similar problems.
The current situation of the server-wide project of Airbus’s railroad is that people are camping the store that airbus uses to retrieve material from people who have sold him/donated material too. Since he can’t get the material or have people sell him it to his store, this is causing problems and delaying the work on the railroad.
Airbus is an architect, which is low in the staff ranking but beside that, he is a project leader who is using funds from taxes collected by the admins. Since this is a server funded project, I am suggesting that there should be a protection of some sorts like a rule which will govern server projects from being intruded. Most of the people working are crafters and while working they are easy targets for PVPers.
Shouldn't there be some kind of protection since Airbus is spending his time in creating a server project using taxpayers money. Authorized by Kainzo, this should fall under staff related jobs since Airbus is an architect, I know that architect are not that high in the staff area but Airbus is trying to do his task as a project leader. Server project should not have constant threat because these are people who are working for the server, not their personal project, why should they deal with unnecessary hassle when they can be doing other stuff. Guaranteed protection from the government is the best solution, these are big projects and require time and effort from both staff and workers to get it done.
Like mods/admins, they are given godmode to do their jobs answering PE which is part of the task being a mod/admin.
-I am not saying give airbus Godmode because it's not needed and there are more than one person on this project but just some kind of protection, like when working or dealing with something related to the project people should not impede the process. A similar situation was when the dungeon/spell team needed protection (I know that it was not authorized by kainzo for that particular project) the point is that with out some kind of protection like a rule, how can project leaders be sure that they can finish their work without being repeatedly invaded upon.
This is a server project, not a personal project. Let it be dealt with as quickly as possible.
It will still be hardcore, all material and work will be done by hand so that it wont hurt the economy, and with work being paid by taxes it is twice the benefit as this stimulates the economy. (People collect gold because they have to pay taxes > taxes are collected > taxes go back out to players through work like Airbus's, > Money back into the world where players have them again to use and work is being done <Get it?>)
Guards can't always be on hand and even so it's very hard for someone to stand watch without getting bored waiting for an attack that might or might not come. If the defense fail then once again the railroad team is back to the problem of having to stop till they get their defense back which might take a while for them to walk for a few of them. Then there are the material lost/looted and time. It's frustrating to depend on something that is random, defense is one of those things.
-eliminating the needs for guards frees up people time, I understand that you can hire people and this will be a job for people to earn pay but they could be better help if more of them actually work on the rail/tunnel itself.
With work out there issued by a project leader, this helps people especially those who need money. Dangers are still in the working process such as the lava fields, monsters, caves, pits and what goes into Minecraft as it always has been, it should be more like a respect that people don't intrude the work done to help the server.
Again this is a project for the server and all Airbus is doing is his job/task of maintaining and organizing the group effort that is being put into building the railroad.
Building stuff for the server is part of the architect, even more so, a project leader.

Not all projects will get the protection, just server projects because they are important.
Kainzo has been stern from breaking this idea because there are more important things, which I fully agree but this does deserve attention.
How can a server project get done without some kind of protection from it getting interrupted?
I already the saw the thread of how kainzo is mentioning the KoK and such which might mean something is about to happen but for future projects, and to avoid problems again.
I am suggesting that project leaders, people who have suggested a project and is using TAXES collected from admins to fund the project be left alone when dealing with projects pertaining to the importance of HEROCRAFT. That is what projects issued by kainzo is about, is it not? to HELP the server, why should some PVPer target / harass easy targets when they are building something for the server. Those targeting the workers are slowing down work, wasting time, and stealing resources that is intended for a server project funded from taxpayers coins.
Of course everything was skimmed because economics is much more complex than that but beside that, I hoped my point was made clear.
Please add a rule to help project leaders get SERVER PROJECTS finished.
-this will help the server with projects being done on time.
-stop wasting people time on a project they keep dying in when they could be helping their town instead.
-This is a server project, defend them. Don't let this become another dungeon team ragequit episode.
This will only protect the workers who are directly working on the rail/tunnel itself.

Those working indirectly like donating material will not be protected, this is just to simplify everything. You can have your hardcore part here, defend the people who want to donate/sell.
(Only did this because, I know kainzo want some challenge if the current situation going on doesn't say that already.)
EDIT: Holy shit, I didn't know about the grifting, this is just adding more to why you need some kind of help from the higher up. seems almost like the dungon/spell team all over again when people kept grifting the work that was already put into it and with out a region there was no way to monitor the place as we each had our own town to tend too as well.
-I really hope Kainzo comes up with something that will deal with this problem because this was way more serious then I though with just the campers at Airbus shop.
