I've never used it, but I've heard Camtasia is good.

Dxtory is the best, really easy to torrent aswell.

Camtasia is good too.$.. but not as good for recording games IMO.

Good ol' Fraps.

Dxtory is what I use. It's basically Fraps, but with additional flexibility and an alternate and more efficient way of recording.

The main reason I use Dxtory is FPS.
With fraps I get 40fps max, Dxtory 100-120fps.

Does anyone have any Dxtory configuration tips? I'm seeing a noticeable drop in FPS when I begin recording. I have tried setting quality to "low" and enabling/disabling compression.

I haven't tried shutter before. Does it encode to mp4 or avi? That's why I dumped gtk-recordMyDesktop lol also kazam is currently under active development

Upon further investigation it looks like it's just a screen-shot program and doesn't do video..
