Suggestion Return the function of sponges

I can think of no reason why this was disabled. Spunges are a farmable item and they have been disabled. Im being forced to create a gravle pusher to push back the water.... which is worst? redstone pistons or a sponge?

We're not in 1.8 yet. There's no reason to have sponges as of now.

Sponges were one of the lag-inducing issues at the start of the map. We can re-evaluate them after we update to 1.8.

They will be back - when its vanilla behavior is there.
Craftbook was pushing a lot of lag with the sponges ( guessing the way they had to code it )

ok if it was laggy i understand, just wish i had gotten the huge expanse of water removed before they were diabled ill wait and in mean time push gravel in there.
