Really Quick server questions

I'm just coming back from a massive hiatus. How tf do I access the server?? Ik the server address is play.hc.to but it doesn't let me connect. I'm on that better together version.

If that version for some reason isn't compatible, how do I get my hand on the older version just to play?

Isn't that pocket or console editions? Herocraft runs on a PC (java) version of Minecraft.

minecraft.net login and download, the java edition is from that site. If you downloaded from the windows store, its the Bedrock edition or whatever its called. gl
