Quick Engi Question [MC0270] - POWER SENSOR

Is the self triggering [MC0270] - POWER SENSOR in the game for Engi's? This would be so sick for CLEAN vertical wires. For those that aren't familiar, this detects if a block is powered within a vertical area. i.e. lights come on in basement when I flip the switch on my control panel in the attic with no red stone in between.

Wanted to check here first before I went to suggestions.
