There has been talk of removing deathchests alltogether since you keep your gear on death, so I doubt we'll see a "buff" on death chests.

darksilverjesse What's your problem? I am sharing information and you dislike my post.
I only have very little time to discuss my point of view because of this my reply may be short and not get the complete idea across.
This is regarding the complete removal of deathchests altogether. I understand the thought behind removing deathchests due to players now keeping their armour and what they are holding in their hand upon death, however we need to consider a few other factors. Firstly What about the little miner mining away when they die, the armour and pick in which they were holding in most cases could not amount to the items lost; unless this death was caused by pvp which will be explained in a moment. Secondly, in PVP situations removing the deathchests seems like a great idea the losers keep their armour and weapons, which can be used to come back and fight again, and the winners get to keep the potions etc..
From that aspect I understand the want to remove deathchests in PVP scenarios, however I have been under the impression since beginning Herocraft some time ago that the point of the deathchest is to encourage PVP; you are killed, you come back with a mate or just by yourself with some new gear, they are all waiting around your chest/s, and so the battle begins. This applied to people who are PVPed whilst mining, this may not apply for newcomers with low levels but generally not everyone who goes mining comes geared for PVP; deathchests give them the opportunity to come back and fight for what is theirs!
I am not finished had to go, didn't ever edit so excuse grammatical and spelling errors; will finish later today.
