Bug Pistons not functioning?

I'm a newly capped engineer and was attempting to utilize pistons, to no avail. I tried every power combination that I know with both regular and sticky pistons and had no success. I was wondering if this is a bug, or if I am simply powering it incorrectly.

If this is a bug, I am curious if some love can be sent the way of the engineer: with both pistons and hoppers disabled, it would be nice as an engineer to have my full kit available to me.

If these are disabled for whatever reason, is there a wiki page or forum post where I can go to see all of the items and abilities that should work but are not for whatever reason? The wiki lists classes, professions, and other mechanics...but tells us nothing (that I can find) that indicates ones that aren't working. (also e.g. chest shop refunds again).

Thank you,

I just tried it right now. Pistons are working for me at this time

After talking to you in-game, I tried redstone blocks as well as redstone torches in various ways. Still no dice. I wonder if it has anything to do with engineer being a subsequent profession after others I have capped? I'm just speculating here.

Thanks,

Just a question where are you trying to place these pistons? Cause pistons do not work in personal regions unless you set a certain flag

Hi Kenneth, I had placed them both inside and out of a personal region without success, but will double check again outside the region. If you by chance know the flag for inside the region off the top of your head, I'd be interested in learning what it is (I'll try to research it as well). :) Thanks for the input!

@Kenneth_Chow, you the man. That was exactly the issue. Resolved by "/res set <region> <piston> true". It is supposed to be set true by default, but for some reason it was set false. Thanks again for the help!
