Yay for bug fixes =D

Also, not sure if your aware of it, but I heard that bolt is only doing 4 damage now, with no fire damage? Less than fireball. Might have been fixed or something, but I thought I'd throw that out there for the casters.

Actually bolt hits 10 with No fire damage and no AOE and doesn't transform pigs in to pig zombies as well as super creepers...since I am not a wizard I wanna say "YAY!"

however my wizard friends are being emo..

so here my suggestion:

I do think Bolt needs a nerf, before it was about 46 dmg + fire dmg when your not wearing armor... a nice tweak to that would be 30-35dmg and change the fire properties to be more like fireball damage verses the ground being lit by flint n steel[burning all the items D:]

also the AOE is nice the way it was, although I believe the AOE should do less damage than the initial person who was struck by the Bolt.

also a safety method for self-inflicted damage would be nice as well as party members, but it might make it more OP than it was...damaging yourself/allies is kind of a good method to keep wizards from using bolt during any encounter, hurting your own friends can drastically ruin any plans for a raid

I like not having those "training wheels" put on bolt, because then it will take skill to use bolt properly, and not kill your own friends :p

It was never intended for 'bolt' to be massive AE. The skill itself has been recoded by Sleaker - making bolt high powered (we'll be tweaking the damage) will allow for us to bring out MegaBolt or some other higher form AE.

I think we can all rest easy that on events, bolt wont kill 5-10 players at a time.

Bolt still doesnt set people on fire anymore

This was a backend change to the actual skill - it is generally a plus as fire-damage can't be traced back to the caster, so if you get a kill for someone ticking fire damage, you get no reward. Bolt now fakes the lightning effect instead of actually initiating a lightning strike meaning it's a visual only representation of the damage.

Multibolt / Boltstorm are coded - just waiting on Kainzo to play around with them and test them. (ChainLightning may be coming also, we'll see - Vectors.. ugh.)

Then can the bolt damage be raised by a lot? To make wizards have a decent pvp skill. And I like Jedi's idea of fireball fire damage. That way the person can take fire damage, but not have their items burn on death, or lose 40 hp to fire. Also I doubt too many wizards care so much for the exp lost by fire damage since they are all level 50 anyways in order to use it. Its only their party members that would get exp for it.

Oooo, MegaBolt, Sign me up!

Bolt no longer turns pigs to zombie pigmen but still charges creepers :s No more homicidal army ;-;

EDIT: With the change that Bolt experienced should we expect a mana cost change/Cooldown change?
