Organization of Track Standardizing Rangers ​

The Organization of Track Standardizing Rangers is a so dubbed cartel that aspires to normalize all prices of tracks sold by rangers into groups of set prices.

Doing so is an essential step in allowing all rangers to have a fair voice in trade as well as have an opportunity to profit off of selling tracks.

The purpose of this cartel is to protect all rangers in the market. Undercutting prices of other ranger's tracks to extreme extents will not be tolerated under the jurisdiction of OTSR. Anyone found selling tracks for absurd amounts, such as 0.00c or negative amounts (Yes, paying the person asking for a track), will be punished. Other tracks sold for amounts not coinciding with the price during that specific day will be frowned upon.

Centralizing prices to standards soon to be mentioned will allow the rangers in the Herocraft community to live in harmony with one another.

Proposed prices:

4-5c through Monday - Thursday
8-10c through Friday - Sunday

*Of course, all prices are subject to change. Specific cases may call for the specific ranger so called upon to heighten the price for profit, or lower the price out of sympathy.
**Tracks on newbs for higher dtp kills are subject to increased prices (3-5c more).

Developing a functional Ranger's Cartel will assist in the regulation of tracks. The server-wide economy can only profit from eliminating inane disruptions to track sales.

And so, I call out to all rangers or soon to be rangers to assist me in this endeavor. Joining the cartel will only cement the kinship between rangers. It will show the strength that the Herocraft community maintains as a whole.

I give free tracks and I plan to stay that way. Sorry, but as long as people are giving cheaper tracks (in my case, free), this won't really work out.
EDIT: I suppose I should mention that I don't really advertise. If I get a request, I'll fulfill it. I don't go searching, though.

Fair enough. The OTSR would certainly have no problem with you giving free tracks privately without advertising. Lending a hand to a friend in need is certainly something I don't want to discourage. However, publicly tossing away tracks for free is not something OTSR supports.

Honestly, it would be better to teach willing participants to not be petty jerks. If I offer something for a cheaper price than what is being advertised for someone, I keep my mouth shut until they're not longer trying to sell. Sure, it's competition, but that doesn't mean it doesn't make one a jerk for doing so.

I mean, in the long run, that's really the goal of OTSR. Multiple people viciously undercutting prices publicly in /ch t just to troll is something that should be strongly discouraged from OTSR, if not in general.

In regards to monopolizing the "track industry", I would have to say that the aim of OTSR is to not jack up the prices - if anything, they've been lowered from previous prices, like those I've seen go at 10c per track. Hope that's a fair enough response.

In my opinion Charging Players for one command is unfair unless you were planning to use said skill or it cost a reagent of sorts why horde it all to yourself when it takes seconds to hit your bind and type the beginning of a name

Tracks have demands, rangers make money off of them. It's a natural part of life.

Same with ports. I'll never sell a free Wizard port, it's the majority of my income. I set my prices at 25-35c , some call that high, but it used to be low. People just keep undercutting each others' prices, something I don't condone.

If someone sells a cheaper port right after I advertise one for 30c, I won't lower mine. I'll just sell my port to the next person willing to pay. Good economics.

Me personally do not want people to hunt newbies, whit my help if I just earn a small amount of coins, so...
I usually take 5-10c more to track new players, and think you should do the same...
It's just madness to make people hunt down newbies for a higher /dtp kills, and you earn form 4c-10c for it.
