Suggestion Ninja Nerf

Aside from the fact that a lvl 60 Ninja can do 139 HP damage with a golden sword, they have 1 (two if you count fade) skill that will pretty much guarentee that they'll never die. If a ninja ever sees himself very close to death, he can just use his "Smoke" skill and run to the hills (figuratively speaking). Combine that with "One" and he can really be way out of harm's way by the time "Smoke" runs out.

A simple solution would be to give "Smoke" a warm-up time. That way a Ninja can't wait until he's at half a heart of health to decide to abort. Of course, a skilled Ninja would use "One" first to gain some ground and THEN "Smoke" to disappear if he wants to get out of harm's way, not the other way around.

Thought smoke broke on movement...

Ninja doesn't need a nerf, you just need to learn not to run up and punch them in the face with a dirt block.

Breaks on attack. Unless the Ninja uses Smoke 1 block away from you, it's hard to hit someone when they're invisible.

There's not even any 50 ninjas yet.... And it only lasts 10 seconds. Besides they aren't going to use it to run, they're going to use it to get behind you and back-stab/eviscerate you.

Plus it has a five minute cooldown...

Oh... well it's on the wiki and was last modified September 12th, so I just assumed everything on there was in-game. My mistake.

Fair enough, @STDs4YouAnd4Me I would have thought the same  . I've searched through the forums and haven't found mention that One has been taken off Ninjas. (The date of the Ninja skills info in the Wiki is Sept 7).

Other than trawling daily through the ingame help (which isn't always accurate either), I'm at a loss as to how to keep the Wiki up to date :(. Perhaps it should just have a big sign on it that says it should not be taken too seriously...

Any ideas, @Kainzo :p?

A wiki is best "kept up" by a community. In-game will almost always be more up to date than out of game. Granted, I try to post all patch notes on the dev notes but some slip by, especially in such a massive update we had from 3.0 to 4.0 Ninjas losing one was the same time we merged Thief and Ninja - the notes weren't too strong here.

The most underused skill for a Ninja is being scrutinized? Smoke doesn't last long and it's really easy to just spam click to land a hit on the invisible person...

Even though the first post may have got some things wrong, Ninjas are still seriously over powered. It is basically a ninja in Zeal with new skills.

They have a huge dps and huge skills burst I mean come on, try and run away from a ninja you will get hunted down by confuse, backflip and if they are a wizard escape artist, Eviscerate does instant damage, backstab + invisi extra damage and you have blitz/envenom to finish them off. Ninjas at the moment imo is as powerful as two classes because when they combined ninja and thief they didn't compensate for the extra damage ._.

To fix this I would take out blitz it is practically a bolt and replace it with confuse because confuse is way too easy to get and needs to be a lvl 50+ skill. Get rid of escape artist I know rogues are caster killers but you have to give the caster a chance.

This is just a case of a new person not pvping a ninja and assuming the potential of a skill. I did it a lot too. I like the forum activity though.
But Ninjas are certainly overpowered. Even in DG now they have Confuse at lvl 20 hehe. Its silly.

It's hard to say if ninja is OP right now. People need to all get to level 60 so they can experience what ninja has to offer (in playing it and against it) before judgment can be passed about this. My prediction is that it will probably end up being nerfed at some point in the future.

Let's see. Escape artist = worthless, half your stam just to free yourself, not worth it. Hardly any armor, squishy as all hell. No longer has one. confuse does 0 damage and may end up benefiting you if it throws you far from the ninja. High dps is the point of ninja. without eviscerate fighting a warrior spec is useless. Blitz is hard to land in combat. Kick was nerfed super hard. Those who die to ninjas automatically assume they are OP. Play it and see how fast you HP bar drops when you get double teamed or hit with a fireball. You just assume we are running away with 7 hearts left after a fight, when in reality we a near death a lot more than you think. Not OP, we dont even have a speed buff anymore. Dragoons and sammys will wipe the floor with us. If your a caster and you die quickly it is because the ninja closed the distance on you. wizard vs. ninja root+bolt+fireball, Huge chunk of HP gone before we even get close to you. You just need to play the class.

Let's see, Ninja kickes, eviscerates,Blitz's, Gets in 5-10 hits depending on skill=GG. Yes, sure they are meant to do damage but if ninja can just get in there quick enough to land a kick any squishy is dead. A ninja can just confuse in a 2v1. If a ninja is low- Poof! backflipped out and maybe even confused you for good measure :). Easier to run away then dragoon.

Maybe your just bad at the class you play,so you complain about ninjas.

We'll just wait and see once the Balance team gets up and running again.
I haven't fought a ninja once this map ._. so cool story bro and have you seen there skills lately? Because you honestly seem naive about the damage a ninja can do.
